"Zane!" I shouted as I see him jump off his horse and embrace me in a hug. I was not dressed well because I was making pies for the girls to sell at market. "Oh, it feels like forever since I last saw you!" I said and held him tight.
"(Y/n), you look amazing, how was planning the wedding?" He asked and I slowly let him go. "Whats wrong, you look sad by something."
"Zane before we move on to wedding problems, I would like to talk to you in privet please," I told him and he nodded dismissing his guards and I let the girls go out and look around at the shops. Once I heard the door shut I went to look out the window to the backyard. "What did you do on this trip?" I asked in a serious tone.
"I told you before I left, duties I had in other villages. It was nothing special," He said and I knew it was a lie. "You look tired have you been getting enough sleep?"
"I had woken up every night to nightmares. Running off on a horse and fighting with a tree, do you want to hear about the dreams?" I asked turning to him and all he did was nod. "I was in several villages, seeing through different eyes, every place was on fire, your guards running around killing incent people and in the mist of the flames I would see you, smirking, laughing evilly, then when the person would ask why you stabbed them for no reason."
He was speechless I had made a man who always had a comeback, who had to have the last word in, speechless. "(Y/n) those are all just dreams, it wasn't real I didn't do any of that stuff you just said why would you think that?" He asked and I could feel tears form in my eyes.
"I know that because that is what happened the first day you came to get me. I saw it in your eyes, I heard all the terrible things you have done, I'm only 19 teen and my mother said she would never agree to a marriage unless I was home to meet the man! I wanted to work for you as a guard but I know the power you hold, you are evil and will never change." I said as the tears fell just the thought of my mother made me sad. "You killed women and children to get what you wanted, people who were defenseless, all because they make you feel powerful."
"(Y/n) you are just tired please lay down," He said but I pushed his had away.
"Is it all true? Tell me that and I might get some rest before the wedding in three days, but I won't say yes if you don't answer me."
"Fine," He said taking a deep breath and speaking the truth, "Its all true, I killed to make enemies, but Brite ports lord would not lission to reason, I had found his daughter, but she escaped from my grasp. Lady Aphmau was there and I tried to speak to her but somehow she escaped, causing me to head to Phonex Droop and well tell her I'm not someone to make an enemy,"
"Causing you to kill some of her people?"
"Nearly inger them, but we did set fire to things." He said and looked at me with loving eyes. "I would never do that to your village, we made peace with them when I chose to marry you,"
"Don't leave me again, I had these dreams every night, Zianna said I should sleep during the day and I tried that but it didn't help."
"I'll call in the healer to help you," He said and gave me a soft kiss. "(Y/n) Ro'meave, I love you,"
"I'm not a Ro'meave yet," I said and he leads me to my room and allowed me to rest telling my handmade to stay out of the house for the rest of the day. And for the first time since I lived in Ok'asis, I got some sleep and I slept for the rest of that day and the next leaving all the wedding planning to Zane and his mom.
~Real quick sorry this chapter is so short but I really want to get to the wedding bit I have so much to share with you guys about how it will look. Also, Zane will not have his mask on for the wedding so this is gonna be fun!!!!!!!!!!!
