'I need you' | A zalfie fanfic

ZOES POV 4

I was sat in costa with my best friend who I loved, Alfie Deyes. I got an iced mocha and I was slurping it while watching Alfie vlog.

'So now we're in Costa! I got a hot chocolate, obviously,' he said to the camera while pointing it at his drink, 'and Zoe got an iced mocha! I'm a bit jealous actually, it's too hot for a hot chocolate!'

I giggled and said 'You can have some if you want. Just don't eat all of the cream off the top because I will have to kill you!' I glared at him and slid my drink to the dark haired love of my life.

He drank some out of the straw and made disgusting faces. 'I can remember why I stopped drinking coffee! Eww.' he remarked while pointing the camera at me.

I pulled a funny face and snatched my drink. 'I can take this out, Alf. Come on, let's go exploring!'

Me and Alfie skipped down the high street linking arms and humming Disney. It was like all my dreams had came true. we got a few crazy stares but I didn't mind. Nothing minded me as long as I was with Alfie.

'Where shall we go first then?' I asked him. 'Hmmmm...' he replied, 'I can't decide! Let's do your shopping first.' he said with a smile. 'Lets go to M.A.C!' I squealed. Alfie rolled his eyes sarcastically, but followed me into the shopping centre.

I was browsing through different eyeshadows when I felt a small hand tap me on the shoulder. I turned around to see a teenage girl, maybe around 15-16 looking VERY excited. 'A-are you Zo-Zoe Sugg?' She said nervously. 'Yeah! I am!' I pulled the girl in for a quick hug and began speaking to her. 'I watch all of your videos, and all of your friends videos too!' she said, taking a quick glance over at Alfie. 'Alfie! Come and see this viewer! She watches our videos!' I shouted over to him. He was stood against a wall, looking very bored. His eyes lit up when I mentioned a viewer. Alfie loved his fans, and so did I.

'Hey!' Alfie said enthusiastically. 'What's your name?' he asked the nervous girl. 'G..georgia.' She replied with a smile. 'I've been reading your blog for years and I've been subscribed to you for as long as I can't remember! I was going to come to VidCon but I couldn't get the money together... I'm so glad I bumped into you. Could I ask a quick question that's been bothering me for a while?' She added with a wink.

Me and Alfie looked at each other and I said 'Sure! Why not?' with a giggle.

'Well,' she began, 'I have this theory that began last year and I've been piecing together some things and I think that you two are... together! Like, Zalfie is real?'. I do a double take and laugh off what the girl just said. But what do I say? I don't want to offend Alfie, what if what he said in that bathroom at Marcus' party is true, even if I don't think it is!

Before I can comprehend what to come out of my mouth, Alfie says 'No, sorry I think your wrong. Me and Zoe are fabulous BFFs but we are not romantic together...' he pretends to stick his fingers in his mouth and gag and ends up laughing. I laugh along with him and so does the fan.

We take a few quick pictures together and then leave the teenage girl in M.A.C and head to John Lewis, to get Alfie's mum a birthday present. He wants to get her something to do with baking, since she loves it.

'I know the PERFECT gift that your mum would love! Follow me!' I grab Alfie's hand and pull him through John Lewis towards the baking equipment. 'A KitchenAid would be an amazing gift any mum would want to get on her birthday.' I say with a wink, pretending to be advertising the expensive mixer. Alfie chuckles and then says 'It's expensive, but it is her birthday. What the heck, I'll buy one!'.

The day out with Alfie couldn't get any more perfect. We had been to loads of shops, I found some cute spring/summer clothes to feature in a lookbook (that Alfie said he would help me film!) and I found a beautiful eyeshadow pigment in M.A.C.

We finished our shopping in the town centre and took a taxi to the small village where I have lived all my life. It isn't much, but it's home for me.

In the taxi, Alfie put his hand on my thigh. I had to pull myself together and try not to squeal. He's just being friendly, right?

I smiled at the bushy eyebrowed boy and put my hand on his forearm. He grinned back.

'My treat!' Alfie cheekily said as he payed the taxi driver and told him to keep the change.

I slammed the taxi door shut and walked onto the cobblestone road, waiting for Alfie to hurry up paying.

What if he really did like me? I loved him ever since I laid eyes on him but was I ready to go into another relationship, risk another bad breakup? It was all too much to think about and I was beginning to breathe a bit too quick. I looked up at the sky, knowing that was a way I could stop these attacks. But no.

No.

The ground began to wobble, like I was riding waves.

I was falling down.

I was falling to the ground, eyes rolling back in my head, when the last thing I heard was Alfie sprinting, shouting 'Zoe!'

There was nothing I could do...
