"You did not seriously jump on his back!" Emily laughed as she pushed the front door to our apartment open."But I did. He's so annoying," I rolled my eyes when I thought of him and Emily just laughed harder.
"So, what's going on between you and Elliot? He's hot." I asked, making her blush instantly with a frown on her face.
"Well, I'm his mate," She stated proudly and her eyes widened to the size of saucers. "If mates existed, you know." She giggled.
"You read way too many books, Em." I laughed and put two slices of bread into the toaster while Emily boiled the kettle. A little routine we developed since we moved in together.
"Hay! So do you!" She protested and got onto her tippy toes to retrieve our cups from the cabinet. She was also short, still taller than I was, but short nonetheless.
"Yeah, but I didn't just call someone my mate. And we should really get a stepping stool in this place," I said just as the toast popped out. I placed two more pieces in and hopped onto the counter. I love how relaxed this was, just spending time with my best friend in our apartment. It still felt somewhat unrealistic but I had to move on from my mother's death someday and there was no time like the present.
"Why do we both have to be so short?" She whined and blew a strand of hair out of her face as she mixed coffee, sugar and milk into the cups.
"Oh, I'm sure Elliot loves towering over you." I teased and stuck my tongue out at her middle finger.
"I really like this guy, Rose. And he's coming over tonight to help me with homework," she said quickly, facing me with a bright smile. I returned her smile, it's amazing to see her this happy.
"The other jackass isn't coming too, is he?" I crossed my fingers hoping that she would say no. She shook her head no with an evil smile on her face. I let out a sigh of relief and she giggled. "I think you like him." She simply stated before pouring boiling water to the mix causing the coffee aroma to attack my senses.
"If you weren't making me coffee, I would strangle you." I said with a straight face before jumping off the counter to butter and cheese the toast.
"So violent," she rolled her eyes and carried the coffee to the lounge with me trailing behind, throwing her with a piece of cheese.
"You're cleaning that up!" She scolded and placed the mugs on the small table before she plopping down onto the couch.
"Yes, mom." I rolled my eyes and joined her, laying my head on her lap. Her hand instantly went to my hair as she knew that I was sucker for getting my hair played with. I turned on the TV and we continued watching Pretty Little Liars. We've already seen everything so we decided that we needed a rewatch to bless our new apartment.
"Ezria is like my favorite couple ever!" I shrieked as Ezra grabbed Aria's arm in the church and kissed her. Lucy Hale was my ultimate favorite!
"Dude! How can you not like Spoby, they're so sexy. Don't even get me started on Haleb. I wish I had a Caleb." Emily fangirled and I couldn't help but laugh.
"Let's just say that all the couples are drool worthy. You can have your Caleb, I want me a Noel freaking Kahn. Flip me over and feed me sideways, he's sex on legs." I exaggerated, but meant every word. He was my celebrity crush, definitely. Well, I had a shit ton of celebrity crushes but he was my crush for today.
"Dirty skank," Em laughed, in response I just purred.
The rest of the episode we were quiet except little shrieks or swear words at some scenes. We finished our food before the middle of the episode and my tummy was already talking to me. Curse my large appetite.
