I overslept.I was hauling my unshowered ass through the hallway, dressed in Tinkerbell pajama shorts and a white, basically transparent tank top.
My body slammed into the wooden doors of my drama class, not giving a single fuck what anyone thought.
"I'm here! I can write the test!" I yelled, making everyone who wasn't already staring, look up. Miss Ruth's mouth was hanging open but her eyes were shimmering with amusement.
"Nice shorts, did you run out of pixie dust this morning?" A guy in the front row yelled and I threw my middle finger up at him, keeping my eyes on Miss Ruth.
"Rose Daniels!" She exclaimed, struggling to keep a smile off her face.
I dropped my hand instantly. "I did that out of love, ma'am." I stupidly muttered and she rolled her eyes, reaching for a paper.
"Just take it before I give you zero, out of love." She sighed, handing me the paper.
"Thank you!" I squeaked, marching up the stairs as fast as possible, trying to ignore all of the stares and whispers. I fell down onto my seat, taking a deep breath before I dove into the test.
I could feel Zane staring at me so I snapped my eyes to his. He was leaning back in his seat with his lips tipped up in an ugly sneer. When he met my eyes he smiled brightly.
What the fuck?
I smiled back at him before returning my attention to my test. My brain was on over drive as I guessed the hell out of that test, completely screwed because it was hard as fuck. The last question was about a kissing scene and my mind went straight to Keegan and our 'playdate' in the park yesterday. We stayed in the park for another hour, kissing and feeling each other up when Emily called and asked me to come home to help her study. He drove me home and even kissed me at the door.
I looked up but I didn't see Keegan in his usual seat next to Becca.
"Hey, where's Keegan?" I whispered to Zane next to me, who was already creepily staring.
"He's in his class?" He spoke to me like I was retarded.
"Shouldn't he be taking this test though?" He rolled his eyes at my question. He sure was a lot friendlier when he had his tongue down my throat.
"Keegan is a law student. He came here last week to mess with you," he said and looked away to his test. Nice talk, I sarcastically thought to myself.
"Nice hickeys, slut." He whispered just as I finished my test. He stood up to hand in his test and my hand flew to my neck. What did he just call me? I got my phone out and opened the front camera, pointing it to my neck. A gasp escaped when I laid my eyes on the purple bruises covering my neck.
Jesus, it looked like a toddler had colored me in. Today was definitely not my day but I stood up anyway and handed in my test before making my way to the library get away from the whispers and stares. The closer I got to the library, the louder the whispers got. I mean only a legally blind person would miss the 'it's not my day' look I was rocking, covered in hickeys and all.
Luckily, there was only one person in the library. Just the person I wanted to see. Keegan was hunched over in a bean bag with light snores escaping his lips. Holding back a chuckle, I pinched his nose between my fingers and waited for his reaction. He grabbed my wrist and twisted it, without even opening his eyes.
"You're hurting me!" I yelled when he didn't loosen his grip. When he heard my voice his eyes flew open and he immediately let go.
"Why would you wake me? This is the only time I can sleep before practice," he snapped, annoyed already.
