•Colby's PoV•
I walk down the corridors head down.
People push me side to side into lockers laughing while doing so.
"Mouth breathers."
I mutter under my breath.
I sigh and keep walking to the liberty.
No one was ever there during break times.
It was my safe spot.
I walk into the silent room and take a seat at one of the computers putting my headphones in.
I click on a Panic! playlist on YouTube and grab my book out of my bag.
I sit and read in silence for awhile.
I brush my fringe out of my eyes and carried on reading.
I felt something touching my shoulder on hands covered my eyes.
"Guess who!!"
I heard a high pitched voice say over my music.
I smile.
"Hummm Obama?"
I joke.
"Nope."
She says giggling.
"Haley Williams?"
"I wish."
She removes her hands from my eyes and sat down next to me.
That's Lilly my best friend since kindergarten.
The hazel haired girl looked at me and took one of my headphones out and put it in her own ear.
"What you doin?"
She asked chewing gum.
"Reading. You?"
I put a book mark in my book and put it away.
I wasn't gonna get any reading done now.
"Bugging you."
She said smiling.
"Haven't you got those cheerleading tryouts today?"
I ask trying to think back to the thing she was talking to me about this morning.
"Yeah but I'm not sure if I can be bothered. McKenzie is probably gonna take my place anyway."
Her smile faded and she looked down at the floor.
Looks like it's time for me to be a good friend for once.
"One. You've been practicing this for weeks your amazing. Two Mackenzie might seem bad but I'm sure she's a nice person. And three how else are you supposed to be a cliche high school girl if you don't."
She looked up at me and smiled.
"You really think so?"
"I know so. Now go get them."
She smiled at me and stood up. We'll bounced up.
"Thanks Colby i need that."
Her smile seemed to grow ten times bigger.
She bounced off in the direction of the gym leaving me by myself again.
That's enough socialising for one day.
I open up my book and start the page again.
