When you see him Raph

Raphael

You've been hanging out with Raphael a few times over the last couple of weeks. He just shows up randomly some nights and you two chat for a few minutes about shared interests; Games, cool motorbikes, guitars, fighting, music.. Or he just sits and listens to you sing before disappearing again like he's freaking batman. You also have no idea what he looks like, he insist on staying a mysterious shadowy person. Right now is such a night and the two of you are hanging out on your roof. You are sitting crosslegged in the middle of the roof and Raphael is hiding somewhere in the shadows.

"Come one Raph! Stop being such a shy baby, get out of those dark creepy corners you like to hide in and face me! In Mortal combat!" You try and coherse him out at least once every time you two chat. You usually got a sharp "No." from him and then drop the subject until the next time.

"Still not a good idea. Can't be seen, those are the rules.. An' I aint wanna scare ya."

"Scare me? *Psh* Do I look like a little bitch to you? I'll kick your arse for that."

"You don't wanna hang out with me anymore if- if you knew." Raph sounds defeated, like he's done this a thousand times with the same result. That people don't want to be his friend anymore. It pisses you off.

"That is MY decision to make, not yours. You don't get to say what I do and don't want."

"Just..." A nervous sigh. "Just don't scream, please? " Raphael's voice sounds so pleading and hopeful and almost..scared. Afraid that you'll run because he's ugly or something. Fucking ridiculous in your opinion. You raise an eyebrow, but are far too exited at the chance to finally see the guy you've been building a friendship with. For now you nod.

"Fuuuckk, Leo and master Splinter are gonna kill me for this." With one more deep breath steeling himself, Raphael steps into the moonlight.

The first thing you pay attention to are his eyes. You've only caught glimpses before and figured it was a trick of the light, but no. Soul piercing emerald eyes look directly into yours, searching for..something in your eyes. All you can do is stare when you let your eyes travel over his red bandana covered green face, the beefed up muscels of his biceps, arms crossed over his plastron, Sais on a belt around his middle and what looks to be a shell on his back. Your mouth falls open in disbelief and a small dry "Ah." makes it past your lips.

Raphael cringes back and holds his hands in front of him like he's surrendering. Your jaw snaps shut.

"m'not screaming." You manage to say, then take another moment to gawk before hopping to your feet. "Sooo... now you're not anal about staying hidden anymore, how about that game of Mortal combat?"

Raphael grins widely. "How can I refuse."

You climb back down to your window and Raphael follows. "Just one thing. I see you reaching for those Sai inside my apartement the world better be ending."

"Fair enough."
