CHAPTER 25

HUMAIRA

When i opened my eyes i saw myself on my bed who took me to bed i wonder and then i went inside to take my bath. I took my bag and my sunglasses because my eyes become a bit swollen.

When i went down there was nobody in the parlor so i decided to quickly go before someone sees me but i was unlucky when someone from my back spoke 

Where do you think you are going to he said and then i turned to look at him

It shouldn't be any of your business i said turning back to open the door

You know you can't just shot people off he said this time walking towards me but i opened the door and walked out without a reply.

AMIR

Where does she think she is going without anyone knowing i thought looking at her walking towards the gate but the thing is i won't stop her, this time i will follow her and she whats is up with her i thought and then i entered my car and followed slowly after her.

I saw her walking into the market the taximan dropped her and she walked towards two beggar's and walked into the market.

HUMAIRA

Let me go and show you where she mostly goes to said the woman walking towards a shop
Alhaji Adamu Alhaji Adamu she shouted and ome man came out

Mai kike so baba( what do you want old woman) he said standing looking at us

Wannan matan nike nema ( i am looking for that woman) she said looking into the shop

Bata shigo ba amma nasan zata shigo kilan ( she didnt come but i know she might come maybe) he said

To kinji( you've heared) she said to me

Zan jira ta( i will wait for her ) i said sitting on the chair outside the shop

Zata iya kai dare fa haijya ( she come in the night madam) he said to me but i shaked my head

zan jira ta ku ku tafi ine tazo zai gayamun( i will wait for her you guys can go if she comes he will tell me) i said and then they nodded and left.

What are you doing to yourself said a familiar voice

I told you that its no of your business leave me alone i can handle my problems i said pushing him away

No matter what you do i will always stay by your side you just have to lets me in please he said holding my hands looking at me and that was when i broke down again.

We sat there together not saying anything to each other and then a woman entered the shop

HUMAIRA

Ahh Hajiya halima na dauka baza ki zo ba( ahh hajiya halima i thought you won't come) said the man inside the shop.

Gainan nazo ina abuna (here i am wwhere us my thing) she said

Ana ma neman ki bari na kira ta(someone is looking for you let me call her) he said and then i stood up and entered the shop

Kince kinsan akai na gani nazo ki gaya mun(you said you know about me am here for you to tell me ) i said standing at her back.

Dama nasan wata ranan zaki gani, ina dayar bata zo bane( i know that oneday you will see me where is the other one she didn't come) she said still not looking at me

Mai kike nufi da haka ( what do u mean by that) i said wanting her to turn around to face me

Your twin sister humra ko kabu hadu ba she said turning to look at me ( or you guys didn't meet)

Who are you and what do u know about me i asked acting brave but deep down I was really scared and then she started laughing

If you want to know about yourself get your sister and come with her i believe that's much better for you she said opening her bag

This is for you to know my address when your ready you both can meet me she said and then she looked at the man he gave her something in a black leda and then she left

Lets get going i said looking at amir and  then i walked passed him to his car

What is going on Humaira please this thing doesn't look safe let someone in he said when he entered the car

And that was when i narrated the whole story to him from the beginning of my life to my present situation

Who amm___ i was about to say sorry but i cut him off

This is why i didn't want to tell you in the first place because you will feel sorry for me and also pity me and that's the last thing i want i said looking at him

So what will you do right now he asked looking at me

Well i will have to drag humra into this mess i guess i said not wanting to do that
but i have no option.

Just know that if you need me i will always be there for you Humaira always and please come to me when your in need of anything i am willing to do anything and i mean anything for you said Amir looking into my eyes

Thank you amir i needed that i replied and then we smiled at each other and we left to meet humra but what kept replaying in my head was  is humra really my sister i mean even tho we look alike we still could not be
