Charlie's POV

"...but the truth is, your Mum paid me to stay away."

What did he say?

I sat there in silence, tears pouring down my cheeks.

How could she do this to me?

Why would she do this to me?

Did she even think of my feelings?

Who an i kidding? Of course she didn't, she only ever thinks of herself.

"W-what?" I stuttered.

"Do you know why?" I asked Anthony.

"Yes." He nodded.

"Well c'mon tell me then." I demanded.

Leondre could tell that i was getting angry so he placed his hand onto my clentched fist and i instantly relaxed at his touch.

"Calm down. It's okay." He whispered so only i could hear.

"Your Mum did it because she didn't want me in your life because..." My dad paused.

"Because what? Just tell me it's not like I'll be seeing her anytime soon." I half yelled.

"Because I'm gay. She said to me that she won't  have my son be influenced by a fag." Anthony admitted looking down at the floor.

"So you didn't want to leave?" I asked cautiously.

"No. It broke me leaving you. You are and always have been my only child." He replied.

Huh?

"Only child? What about your other family?" I questioned.

"There never was one. Your Mum used that as an excuse. I've been living in motels for the past 20 years." He said.

"Charlie, please forgive me?" He pleaded.

"Okay, i can forgive you but on one condition." I said sternly.

"Anything."

"You help with the laundry and always load and unload the dishwasher. There will be set days for the chores and when we're on tour there will be no partying and you keep the place in check. You also need to learn the house rules." I explained.

"What do you mean?" He asked me.

"I mean that if you are going to be my Dad then you will not be living in motels. You can move in with me and Leo." I said.

"Are you serious?!" He exclaimed

"No I'm Charlie, nice to meet you Dad." I replied sarcastically.

"Haha very funny, what are the house rules then?" He said.

"I'll write them down." I said, picking up a piece of paper and a pen.

"Babe, can you get the weely table thingy please." I asked Leo.

"Sure." He replied, getting up from my bed and pecking my lips.

He brought the weely table over and i wrote the list of rules down.

House Rules:

1. No mention of Karen under the roof unless it's absolutely urgent.

2. No walking into someone's room without permission.

3. No stealing other people's things.

4. Treat us with respect.

5. Treat Leo the way that you treat me.
