OrmrSpirit Katioana LaylaBryan ErrorRainbow246 butter_cup01 To those reading Blind as a Bat, I don't want to update a finished story, so I'm putting your names in the second book instead- thank you for reading!

Aeri P.O.V

"What are those sounds, Ae-Ae?" Angel looked at me with curious interest. "Are there pets here?"

"Of a sort, yes, Angel," Aeon answered instead of me. "But many of the... pets here are very rare and can't be left for long periods of time. This event we are at is more like a convention for Father's work, and it seems that they have extended the length of this event because of various circumstances, hence the pets and that we will be staying here for a time."

"We're staying here? How long?"

I couldn't hold it in anymore, "They extended it to a week or so, isn't that exciting?"

Instead, I watched as Angel held tightly to Aeon, turning his face into his shoulder and flinching at a rather loud screaming sound, "It-it... Hurts."

His muffled voice and teary eyes were adorable. Too bad we are to keep him 'innocent' still. I frowned, thinking it was loud even to myself, "It's messy in here. I don't like it."

Feeling a touch to my shoulder, I turned back to Aeon, who was now holding Angel to his chest, arm wrapped around him and covering the ear that wasn't to his chest, "We should ask Father permission to go to our rooms. At this rate, Angel might actually become sick from these uncouth guests who can't even control their own pets or children."

I couldn't help but smile in agreement, eyes lighting on several interested faces watching our every move. Eyes meeting them, I turned away, snubbing their visual pursuit, "Did you see where Daddy has gone to?"

"Yes, but I have some reservations upon our present choices," We were still close to the entrance on the lowest landing and away from the large tide of bodies below. Just running my eyes through the crowd, I easily made eye contact with other collectors whose jealousy was barely contained. The three of us were some of the rarest present, and Aeon seemed acutely aware of our position. "And Father told us to stay together, nothing specifically more; where he is, we cannot follow."

*Our Daddy loves his games*, I leaned forward, noticing Angel's pallor. *We cannot go against Daddy, especially with all these people around. We must show these people how true pets are supposed to be trained to act.*

*I do not believe that Father meant for Angel to suffer to this extent. I believe that he really did have to leave for something important and overlooked this possibility.* Aeon pursed his lips. *We don't have those noise-canceling headphones; they're in his suitcase. We can't leave this room without Father's permission.*

*Ah, didn't Daddy give you something just in case for Angel?*

*Yes, but I was hoping not to need it... This is ridiculous. These collectors do not know how to properly bring their pets to heel.*

Aeon's calculating eyes met mine, "Come along, Aeri, we need to traverse this crowd to our assigned position before I am able to assist Angel."

*We cannot bring shame to Father by giving Angel anything in front of these sharp-eyed unscrupulous fools*

Aeon brought his head down a little so as to speak clearly yet softly in Angel's ear, "*Angel, your siblings are here for you. We are going to harden our heartbeats. Focus on them rather than the sounds surrounding us. Soon, we will be able to help you, but we must first move to a safer location requiring us to enter the throng of people. focus on us and it'll be over soon.*"
