Lexi Sherwin isn't who she was anymore. The abrasive, sarcastic, and uncaring girl that she was is gone, and is replaced by a quiet, shy girl who doesn't dare to speak out. She's lost her place in the universe, and her only goal now is to survive each day without any complications.
Andrew Addington lives life on the edge. An ex-football player, and a self-proclaimed delinquent, there isn't a day where the gossip doesn't surround him. But despite his popularity, he's not the perfect boy everyone thinks he is; his past haunts him, and he can't escape from it.
When Lexi ends up alone in a room with a drunk Andrew at a party in her new town, she doesn't expect to see him again after that. Unfortunately, Andrew has other plans. He wants to learn more about the mysterious new girl that he encountered at the party. Lexi doesn't want to do anything with Andrew; she's putting herself at risk of being hurt again. But maybe, Andrew can teach her how to live again. And maybe, she can teach him a few things too.
