Chapter 54

They all head into the kitchen dishing out their food eating like hogs while Cane comes over to us looking a bit frightened.

“Hey Belle? You okay? You hungry?” He helps me up kissing my cheek staring at Megan threatening.

“Yeah, Meg do you want some food?” She looks like it’s a bit awkward being here. She just stands and brushes off her sundress that goes over her swim suit.

“No, I should go meet up with Caine, hes probably wondering where I am. Good talking to you.” She is about to head to the door when I grab her wrist turning her around.

“Wait. Wear this until Evin is born. Then could I have it back?” I hand her my orange and white dress and she looks shocked but I can see she is about to dismiss the offer. “It must really be uncomfortable wearing that. Just please take this. Wear this till he is born, then give it back. Honestly I don’t mind.” I shove the dress into her shaking hands and she gladly takes it, she engulfs me in a giant hug, her belly brushes up against mine and I feel a small movement from hers. I whip away pressing my hands up against her belly. She just laughs letting me feel her baby press against my hands.

“Ha-ha, it may be cool to you but to me it gets on my nerves. I love him to death but he moves all the time, when I sleep he is up kicking me all night long. Get used to the moments you have where she doesn’t annoy the crap out of you. Love ya sis but I gotta go.” Awe no! Its so cool!

“Okay, come by again, I get bored while Cane is out at stations.”

“I will see if I can, its hard to walk this far.”

“Then let me drive you. Cane can I have the keys.” He looks from me to Meg before sighing in disapproval before he hands me the keys. “Love ya babe see you in ten minutes.”  Meg and I whip out of the lounging room and into the garage. She slides in carefully and relaxes for a bit huffing and puffing. I pull out of the garage and head towards her cabin.

“Belle, pregnancy sucks just want to let you know. Your gassy all the time, your hungry all the time, you vomit still. You back will start to hurt like no freaking other! Then the mood swings, I don’t even want to get started on those!” She uses her sun dress to fan herself when I see a bruise on her chest, hiding but I can see it. I quickly stop the cart to stare at her in shock and awe.

“Meg! Where did you get that bruise?” She quickly covers it and looks at me confused almost.

“Nowhere I slept walked and then I found this yesterday.” She gives a small awkward chuckle letting me know she knows exactly where she got it from. I give her the mother stare and she looks more uncomfortable until she caves. “Okay at night Caine rapes me, he leaves bruises all over me. But when I bring it up to him in the morning he goes crazy cause he doesn’t know that happened? He’ll cry and scream saying he would never do that to me but he does. All the girls watched him. I am getting kind of scared of him. At first I enjoyed it then now hes rough and when I don’t want to he does it anyway.” I grab her wrist and turn the cart around so she doesn’t some how fall off.

“I am taking you back to my place. You will be safe, I don’t want you near Caine, I knew he was bad news.” She starts trembling looking back to her direction of the cabin anxious and uncertain.

“No Belle its fine! Just take me back.”

“Megan! Do not fight me on this! He is dangerous and you don’t want him hurting Evin do you? You are staying with me okay?”She stops resting and slumps on the bench frustrated that I won this fight. I pull in again and we both go back into the house that is pounding with laughter. Cane sees us both and he looks slightly annoyed. His annoyed attitude is annoying the crap out of me. “Cane? What is your problem?” I ask walking past him into the kitchen where they three new guys stand up and move a place for me to sit at the two seated table. Megan and I both sit down and we share my to-go box of food.
