This is quote part of the song "Last Midnight" from the musical Into the Woods.

The song is sung by the witch, who is for the most part a rather horrid character. But toward the end of the movie, she sings this song, calling out the "good" characters, who have been just as bad as her in different ways throughout the movie.

She is trying to tell them what they should do about the crisis they face (a rampaging giant), and though her conclusion was wrong, she did have a point.

Only minutes before, the rest of the cast is singing a song entitled "Your Fault." Pretty self explanatory. Nobody wants to take the blame, and so they shift it off to somebody else. Who shifts it to somebody else.

Finally, they all blame the Witch, who replies with this song, telling them all how stupid they are being, and that they ought to try to do something about the problem, rather than just shifting blame for it.

It's always good to remember that just because somebody is not a good person, or we don't agree on everything, does not make them automatically wrong about everything they say.

Too often, I think we tend to demonize people we don't agree with, and thus don't bother to listen when they have something true to say.

Alright, that's all!

Thank you so much for reading, and I would love to hear what you have to say!
