what "it gets stranger" is about

Credits to the absolutely amazing T_Raitor for doing this collab with me, and I think the story will be on their profile too.

We came up with this mad theory;

So, it's that before ST or IT starts, Bob knows that his wife Mrs K is way to overprotective of him and Eddie, so he tries to leave and start a new life in Hawkins with Eddie, but Mrs K keeps Eddie behind.

A few years later, Richie's parents are neglecting and abusing him, so a social worker comes to take him to Hawkins where he can start a new life.

His new parents asked if he wanted to keep his old name, or start a new life completely, and he tried his hardest to over come his fear of being forgotten, and he thought this is his next step to finally get over it. He changes his name to Mike.

Mike stopped wearing glasses and put in contacts to start looking less like Richie and more like Mike.

Then Richie basically became an alter ego for when he felt sad. He put his old coke bottle glasses on and it made it better somehow.

Mike/Richie was really upset when he had to leave his friends, especially Eddie, so when he meets Will who is so much like him (except for the gazebos) he becomes friends with him really quickly.

Will goes missing and Mike is like, horrified coz Will was the closest thing he had to Eddie, and also coz he thought Pennywise took him.

Pennywise did take him though because his power grew so he could now transform into whatever that person was thinking about, and Will was thinking about the Demogorgon from D&D, that's what Pennywise turns into.

But something happens, and the upside down interferes with Pennywises powers and pennywise gets stuck in the form of the demogorgon (that's why that's what he is for the full of ST).

Mike realised that Bob is Eddies dad and is really annoyed at him for leaving Eddie with his mum, and that's why he keeps giving bob the mean and judging glares.

But when bob dies, Mike gets upset, coz even tho he hates him for what he had done, he was still Eddies father, and Eddie had been Richie's best friend.

(Also Mike likes Max so much, coz she's basically bev.)
