When Marties dreams start coming true, he knows he can only turn to two people, his aunt Linda and her wife Jess.
They live at the shore in San Diegos quietest beach in a lighthouse with a cute little cottage at the side. He has to stay there for two weeks when his dad goes on a business trip to Canada and he dreams about an eye on the sea. It continues for three days, then, forgetting everything and everyone around him when he is in what he calls "the midnight phase" he sails into the ocean on a home made raft.
He finds the Eye of Mys, a suburban legend his aunts told him. Although, he doesn't return.
Why the light was left on
Grace, Marties little sister is hearing whispers when she spends an overnight at her aunts lighthouse. She suspects its her big brother. Her dead brother trying to contact her, to tell her to finished wheat he started. On the first night, his body is finally dragged out of the ocean depths.
She knows, knows, deep down that he is still alive.
And the Eye of Mys has taken him.
When the night illuminates
The Eye of Mys has taken both children, and 16 years later, as Helena, a journalist decides to record everything that has happened in hope of getting her fame boosted up again, she discovers they are more to the tale.
A bunch of kids have been taken by it, but 13 years ago. The Eye of Mys has started killing again.
