One man stuck out against the others. He was wearing a lab coat. A long smile protruded his cheeks. My hearts skipped beats. His face invited fear into my soul. He was still wearing his lab coat. I bet he saw my horrified expression, for his face changed from a simple smile to satisfaction. I tried to hide my emotions after that, not letting him think that I have given up. Agatha pulsed with anger beside me, her strong muscles flexing. I could swore I saw extra muscles in there. Ones that humans don't have. Extra muscles that allow the person to move different and non-human ways. I pushed the thought away, knowing we have more things to worry about.

Jay

The mistake of a man pushed his way through the guards.

"Did you really think you could escape?" He mocked.

Fury simmered in my chest, rising slowly. If I could, I would get up and kill him myself, but fortunately for him, we had guns pointed at us.

"We could sure as hell try." I spat.

At the remark, I felt Agatha nudge me roughly in the leg.

Jay smiled, and looked down at my partner in crime. The former scientist twitched at Jay's gaze. I wasn't surprised. It was like staring into space without the beauty of the stars. Or watching the sunset without the intense gold color of the sun.

"I'm surprised you were with this... thing, Agatha." Jay said.

Agatha just glared at him, saying nothing. And so her quiet fury returns.

"So, how did you slip past guards, huh, Agatha?" Jay asked, messing with his hand for a second.

Agatha exhaled a broken breath, but still said nothing. I could feel her nerves charging, ready to explode in the fury of a hurricane, destroying everything in its path.

Jay turned his empty gaze to me. "And you? Well," he laughed, "you are interesting, aren't you?"

My muscles rippled. Like Agatha, my anger was almost ready to burst its already raging banks.

"I do not answer to you." I told him, my voice tinged with pure hatred.

I saw Jay's gaze falter for a moment, as if he could have not seen such an active response from one who is so quiet. But then, not a moment later, Jay grasped his gaze back to it's cold, common state.

"She speaks." Jay pointed out.

"Leave her alone, Jay!" Agatha warned.

Jay raised an eyebrow for a second. "Look who's talking. Traitor."

Agatha swallowed, biting back some bitter words.

"Touch her I'll kill you!" I snarled. My anger was getting the best of me, and for that I felt another hit from Agatha, sending pain up my leg.

Jay raised his hands. "You think you intimidate me?" he said, his voice icy.

"Asshole."

Jay flinched. I saw him rearrange himself, as if he was forcing something down. Then he whipped his head around to me, his gaze burning.

"Be careful what what you say to me. I could end your life with a snap of my fingers."

I felt blood rushing to my face, turning it red with fury.

I received yet another hit from Agatha.

"Stop." She hissed.

Although the kicks hurt, the anger was slowly eating up my sanity. My muscles burned to move, to take action. My hands shook. My senses were alert. My voice rumbled deep in my throat, almost at a growl.
