But in reality, the trip isn't forever. About thirty minutes later of extremely awkward silence, an announcement from Mr. I Hate the Peculiars stated that we were in sight of the planet, but just right outside the atmosphere. We would enter in the base of a building near the Citadel, landing in a small singular ship bay. There we would take another, smaller ship designed for traveling just across the city, would enter in the Citadel and hover by a walkway. All of us would then exit the ship and go into the fun zone. Someone important would undoubtedly meet us inside, where we would be seperated, and taken either to interrogation, or a cell. Whatever the Commander explained earlier. Although, the thought of being chained or handcuffed to Jay makes me want to end it right here and now. That wouldn't solve anything, but it sure is a nice thought. I wonder how Jay will deal with being on a different planet. How he will deal with being the only human being for hundreds of thousands of miles. He's already freaked out, if not terrified at this point, so I don't see how he could feel any worse. But he was right earlier. Seeing him like this brings me satisfaction.

The ship jerked, signaling the entrance of the atmosphere. The ground beneath us from which was sat started shaking, the walls rattling, the cage bars rattling.

Though unbalanced and shaky, Noxi stood up, using the bars for leverage. He pulled himself up and kept close to the bars, hands firmly gripped on them.

"At my guess they should set us down on a landing pad in a building right outside the Citadel," Noxi said, "then sneak us in through some tunnel, maybe in one of the Sky Trenches."

"Why not just fly us straight in the Citadel?" I asked him.

"Because, people will start to ask questions."

I tipped my head. "Fair point."

Noxi let go with one of his hands and reached out to me, asking if I need any help getting up. I, not gratefully but thankfully, took his offer and let him pull me up. Like Noxi, I went straight for the bars, pulling myself close and gripping on tight.

I glanced at Ley, who had concern in her eyes. I gave her a half-reassuring nod. She shook her head in reply, stating her disbelief in my confidence. What a great friend.

The shaking slowly started to dissipate, meaning the ground was getting ever near. I glanced to my right and saw Jay getting ready to stand as well. I was surprised he had gathered the courage. I blew a couple of ginger curls out of my face as I turned back to Noxi.

"Maybe I'm not nervous about the Time Lords, but being chained to him."

Noxi didn't look at me as I spoke, or while he replied, just stared out into the open with an amused expression. "He's worse off than you are."

Suddenly, the rumbling stopped with a final jolt. Touchdown. It felt empty without the soft rumble beneath my feet.

The Commander reappeared from the cockpit, his expression flat and emotionless. He walked over to the guard standing by Ley, who didn't even meet his eyes. The guard reached behind him and unhooked a pair of thick, red handcuffs. The red resembled a red sand, and the gold was a milky light. I looked down in the Commanders other hand, spotting a second pair of cuffs. One, I imagine, was for me and Jay; The other for Noxi. After he had retrieved the handcuffs, he nodded his head toward the cage holding me and Noxi. The guard curtly nodded, walking sternly over to our cage door. He reached behind him, unclipping some keys off a hidden part of a belt under layers of armor. He turned back to face us and stuck the keys in the lock, letting us hear the familiar sound of an unlocked door. He swung it open wide, then turning back to stand behind it. He beckoned us forward with a glare, leading us into the Commander with two pairs of open cuffs. Noxi closed his hands into fists, then placed them close together, allowing the Commander to cuff them. He winced as the tight bars of metal closed around his hands. I felt the hands of the guard on my side once again, just as I glanced over, seeing Noxi being pulled off by his father. The guard pushed me past Jay's door, and told me to stay here. He then unlocked Jay's door, pushing him out. The Commander reached out and handed him the second pair of handcuffs. He pulled me in first, allowing me to close my fist before the cold clamp of metal wrapped around my wrist. He kept the key on him, to not let us even get the chance of escape. He grabbed Jay's wrist next, hooking it in the same cold metal trap.
