woww, this is bad I'm sorry! I'll probably rewrite it.

It's been a long while since Rook has stepped foot out into the Whitetail Mountains and today she finally built up the courage to stand up to Jacob's men and demand she be given freedom. After all, she's proven to them and Jacob that she is no longer a threat, they have to give her freedom now.
Rook laced up her boots then slung the gun strap over her shoulder, adjusting it as she walked out of hers and Jacob's shared room. The hallways leading towards the front door were empty, something unusual but she brushed it off and continued her walk towards the front door.
"Hey!" Jacob shouted from down the hall as her hand grasped the doorknob, "Where do you think you're going?"
Rook turned to face Jacob and furrowed her brows, "For a walk?" She answered.
Jacob grabbed her hands and lightly pulled her away from the door while shaking his head, "I don't think so. You're supposed to be organizing the paperwork in my office, remember?"
Rook blankly stared at Jacob, she was so tired of feeling like she was still locked inside one of his cages. Did he not trust her? She did everything he ever asked and more, what else could he possibly want from her?
"Come on, I need those papers organized," Jacob lightly tugged on her arms but she didn't budge. He looked over his shoulder, the sight of the small Deputy frowning stopped him from saying or doing anything else.
"I just.. I just wanted to go on a walk," She said softly. Normally, she would lash out when angry or upset, but something about Jacob not letting her leave upset her greatly and all she could do was pout.
Jacob sighed and cupped her face in his hands, "Why don't you take a walk around the courtyard instead?"
Rook shook her head and kept her eyes on the floor, "Why don't you trust me?" She asked, inhaling a shaky breath she continued, "I've done everything to prove that you can trust me."
Jacob used his thumbs and pushed the Deputy's head up until she was looking at him, "Kitten, I do trust you. It's too dangerous," He answered. He was taken aback by her question. He did trust her, much more than he ever intended to. He didn't want to lose her is all.
He let go of her face and grabbed her small hands. With another sigh he looked behind him seeing four of his men waiting for him. He turned back to face the Deputy, "Alright, if you really want to go on a walk fine. Only if you agree to let two of my men come with you."
A smile spread across Rook's face, she stood on her toes and planted a kiss on his cheek, "Thank you! I promise I'll be careful," She let go of Jacob's hands and gestured for the men standing behind Jacob to follow her.
They were only gone for 20 minutes but it felt like days to Jacob. When she finally walked through the doors he checked every inch of her, making sure she wasn't hurt. He loved seeing her happy but his heart couldn't take the anxiety she caused him half the time.
