It was already the second week of October. They showcased another dance routine, Danger and won the first place in the dance competition held amongst several universities.

Jimin was busy putting several kimbaps in his plate when out of nowhere, a chopstick came in his view and stole one of his kimbaps.

"Hey!"

Jin laughed maniacally at that and attempted to steal another one when Jimin realized Jungkook was by his side that he unconsciously pouted and called out to Jungkook, while pointing at Jin.

"Jungkook, look, he wanna steal Jimin's kimbaps!"

Jimin expected that Jungkook would just laugh away at them and walked away, but the thought was thrown out of the window when suddenly Jungkook had his hands at his waist in a scolding manner and playfully stared hard at Jin.

Jin laughed at the scolding Jungkook and put up his hands in surrender before making his way towards Namjoon who was at the corner, trying hard to pour up his drinks.

Jimin blinked several times, and turned towards Jungkook, who was now gone out of his sight, mingling with the crowds.

He let out a soft smile, continued to put more kimbaps in his plate before going back to his seat inside the hall.

He was busy munching off his kimbaps when suddenly out of nowhere, the crowds were singing a birthday song, to which he also joined in singing the song, his eyes focusing on his food in his lap, not caring of his surroundings.

Several shoes stopped in front of him, making him turned his head up and surprised.

Before him, was the bunny smile, who constantly running in his mind, with a birthday cake in his hand while the others gathering behind him with several presents.

His members were already smirked and tried to hold their laughter up at the sight of Jimin, mid-munching his kimbaps, eyes full-blown wide.

He totally forgot his own birthday.

Jimin let out a breathy laugh and blow out the candles. The others instantly took several photos with him and other groups from different universities grabbed at this chance and snapped several photos with him.

Unknown to the others, Jungkook was being pushed backwards until he was out of the crowd, far away from Jimin and he placed the abandoned birthday cake on one of the available seats.

He tried to get through the crowds several times but failed. He then shrugged and went outside the hall to grab several plates and forks for the cake.

The whole thing was witnessed by both Jin and Hoseok as both of them burst out in laughter.

Several minutes later, when the crowds around him died down, did Jimin can breathe.

He made his way to his group and took a seat next to Jungkook, who had a plate of sliced cake in his lap and offered another plate to Jimin.

"Didn't expect that, do you?"

Taehyung smirked at Jimin and told him how it was his brilliant idea and the others to set up this birthday surprise.

Jimin felt grateful and thanked him and the others and lowered his head in embarrassment.

Yoongi, who was sitting beside Jimin, reached out towards Jimin and pulled out something from his hair.

It was a pink ribbon hairclip.

He did not know how did it ended up being stuck in his hair. He guessed it must be from the crowds.

He looked at the hairclip and had an idea.

He took it from Yoongi and turned to Jungkook, signaled him to lower his head down for a bit.

Jungkook somehow obediently lowered while not caring of the others, and Jimin did the deed.

Meanwhile the hyungs were amazed at how unusually obedient Jungkook was when it comes to Jimin.

"Wait, Jungkook is the only one who hasn't had a photo together with the birthday boy, right?"

Finally, the group made both Jimin and Jungkook took a photo together, not before Jin excitedly took a pink ribbon tie from the cake box and together with Hoseok, tied it around Jungkook's wrists, and gave the end of the ribbon to Jimin, who blankly hold it up and instantly they snapped the photo.

The photo turned out great as it indirectly telling strangers that Jimin already claimed Jungkook and Jungkook was his.

Not only that, they uploaded the photo in their group Instagram page and gained instantly too many likes for that particular post.

Jimin just shook his head at his hyungs behavior.

That night, as he settled his head on his pillow, he got a notification from one of the groups – Jin and Hoseok made a separate groupchat, to discuss more of JiKook ship to which Jimin rolled his eyes at that.

Once again, his heart fluttered at the content of the texts Jin and Hoseok sent. They discussed how their ship continue sailing smooth because both of them witnessed another Jikook moment where Jungkook tried to get closer to Jimin while the latter were busy with his fans.

At that moment, right then, he was afraid of this.

Afraid to have such high hopes.

But he did end up having one.

And in just a few moments, it did crash down, leaving him drowning alone.

In this sea called love.
