His kindness unknowingly hurt him.
Jungkook had rejected him in such a polite and gentle manner, claiming he still had this mixed feelings regarding love and wished to not involve in one again - not in the nearest future.
And he had closed off again...
Not that he could blame Jungkook. Taehyung was deemed to be his first love at all and he had fallen hard for Taehyung - not that he could control that.
At the moment, he was sitting at a corner of the dance room and discreetly stealing glances at Jungkook.
Not only once but too many times did he catch Jungkook's lingering gaze following Taehyung's figure everywhere and he could see Taehyung tried to avoid Jungkook whenever he felt that the younger was about to come his way.
Jimin wondered, why would Taehyung continued to avoid Jungkook. He did not even know whether the rumor regarding Taehyung's crush on Park Bogum was true or not, and believed that regardless if he did have a crush or not, maybe just maybe, deep down in his heart, he knew that Taehyung might avoid Jungkook for the sake of Jimin's feelings.
This made Jimin felt even worst.
If only he could turn back the time...
Then everything would not be as complicated as this...
But most of all, Jungkook and Taehyung might be happy together...
Without him in between...
It was all his fault...
Thus, he knew the only thing he could do right now.
-
From that day onwards, he took his studies seriously and attended all his classes like how he should have done from the beginning and would then go straight back home after his classes finished if there was no dance practice in the evening.
Even after dance practices, although he was still fooling around with the others however, he would go home afterwards, not joining their usual hangouts.
The whole members were worried about Jimin's unusual behavior especially Jin and Hoseok, which they decided that one day to go to Jimin's house.
Both of their presences were unexpected and so sudden for Jimin that by the time Jimin opened his door, they suddenly attacked him with hugs at the same time, making Jimin stumbled back a bit.
He knew they noticed the slightly swollen eyes of his and he was relieved when they did not even ask anything about it.
Yes, he did cry his heart out everytime he came home.
He was always and constantly being reminded of the guilt he had to endure whenever he caught sight of them being together.
They should have been together.
Jimin had told them of this and this broke their hearts, knowing that Jimin had suffered the most and the fact that they could do nothing but only gave him hugs and pats on the back.
Jimin also told them his sudden decision of how he should distance himself from Jungkook and Taehyung for a while until he could move on from Jungkook.
Jimin suddenly remembered something that he should share with these two hyungs and was about to stand up from the cuddle they had in his couch, before being pulled back by both of them.
"Wait for a moment, I have some good news for the both of you!"
Jin and Hoseok reluctantly let him go after the younger flashed them a reassuring smile.
After several minutes, Jimin came back from his room with a white letter in his hand that did not go unnoticed by both of them.
Jimin gave them the letter and asked them to read.
Another several minutes passed in silence as they read the letter and tried to absorb everything before they shrieked in happiness.
"You're being accepted?!" Their voices combined in unison.
"YES!"
Then, they continued to huddle together in Jimin's small couch and excitedly discussed what he would do in the programme and such.
"So how long would this programme take?"
Jin asked Jimin as he re-read the acceptance letter.
"A month."
"And when are you going?"
Hoseok noticed the hesitation in Jimin's demeanor, resulting both of them to turn their heads towards Jimin.
"Next week. B-but I have to go by this Sunday."
Sunday. Meaning the day after tomorrow.
Jimin could feel the stifling aura that was now filled up the room and before any of them could voice out their thoughts, Jimin cut them off.
"I've just known this news yesterday and I needed time to think by myself carefully."
Well, he lied.
He planned to never let them know so that it would hurt him less by the time he would depart from this country.
Jin observed Jimin for a while and patted his shoulder.
"It's okay Jimin. We believe you and your reason behind this."
Hoseok only nodded in agreement and the three of them were plunged in a comfortable silence as they continued to cuddle with each other.
"Just remember, Jimin. Time will heal everything..."
"I know, hyung..."
That'swhy I made this decision...
