One week had passed in blur but he had not seen that particular hyung around the others and campus.
Not that he was searching for him.
It was just, everywhere he gone, there would be at least a glimpse of his figure either at a distance or from faraway.
And it was not like he was missing the hyung.
It was just that as if his existence was completely being erased and everyone was doing fine and went through their daily life as usual.
He did ask around regarding Jimin's whereabouts to his other hyungs but they somehow managed to change the topic, as if avoiding his main question.
He also made several rounds to Jimin's possible classes and routes to his classes but found none.
There was one time when he was about to make his way towards one of Jimin's coursemates, whom he if did not mistaken goes with the name of Taemin, but halted in his tracks as a sudden thought hit him.
Why would I go this far just for the sake of someone who did not even have any relations with me whatsoever?
With these thoughts, he would turn around and walk away, leaving his main question unanswered once again.
And then once again, his question would resurface and hit him hard during dance practices when he was reminded of a missing empty spot in their choreography.
Well, he would wait for another three days.
If the hyung still not here, he'd take the initiative to ask the hyungs even if it meant by force.
Because there was this feeling in the bottom of his stomach at this situation.
Unsettling feelings...
-
"Namjoon-hyung, do you know where's Jimin-hyung?"
"Oh, he has to attend his classes elsewhere," Namjoon would just shrug and continued reading his books.
"Don't worry. He's just fine, wherever he is," Jin would scoff – up until this day, Jungkook was still wondering why Jin-hyung somehow became hostile towards him, and walked away to wherever he went.
"No need to worry, he is alright!" Hoseok would beam at him with his sunshine smile before continuing his dance practice.
"I don't know. I haven't seen him for a while." Taehyung would shrug and fiddled with his newly bought camera.
Jungkook skipped Yoongi because the older would ignore and go back to his precious sleep without even attempting to answer him.
It had been like this for several days – asking the same question and got the same answer back, and he had just enough of this, making him exploded one day during practice.
It was the first time for the others to see his outburst because as far as they know, Jungkook was a calm, collected and patient guy.
However Jin still would not give the answer and glared at the others, signaled them to never give him whatever the maknae wanted.
The others could only look down at the ground.
Jungkook watched the whole silent exchange between Jin and the others and turned towards Jin.
"HYUNG!"
"Then, let me ask you. Did you even know how much hurt you have unintentionally caused Jimin?"
When Jungkook did not answer him back, Jin crossed his arms at the defeated man before him.
He knew.
But he did not know what to do.
He could not do anything.
So he turned a blind eye towards Jimin's feelings for him.
Expecting that someday, Jimin's feelings for him go away as time passes by.
But then...
Why did it hurt when imagining Jimin did not have feelings for him?
His breath hitched as realization hit him and he snapped his head back up towards Jin only to find the man let out a relief smile.
"That's right, you fool. Took you long enough."
"T-Then hyung, what should I do?" Jungkook asked quietly, tears now streaming down his chin as he aggressively wiped off the trail.
"All you can do now is..."
Nothing.
