I have been exhausted since the battle. I feel like I can't get enough rest. To make it worse the kids are starting to cry more and their Light specialties have kicked in.
Arold likes to be held all the freaking time so when he feels neglected he hovers in the air carelessly. Bel likes to be cold so she frequently freezes her crib and I'm kind of jealous. I didn't have power over ice until I was an adult and here she is making ice as an infant. Behroz likes to be hot and will light himself on fire when he feels cold.
Motherhood is exhausting and my boobs hurt. On the bright side Uther and Adelram have rekindled their friendship in past year.
"Light of my life." Adelram calls walking in our bedroom.
I turn over in the bed and groan.
He climbs in the bed with me and I wrap my arms around him. "You feel so cold."
"Is Bel making it snow in here again?" I asks.
"Yeah."
I groan.
"I'll get her." He says getting up.
"Be sure Behroz doesn't light himself on fire again. He'll burn everything down."
He climbs back in the bed with me and we cuddle.
"You look so beautiful when you're sleeping." He tells me and I drift off to sleep happily.
Hours later Adelram wakes me up from my blissful sleep.
"What is it?"
"Get our son he's going to fall!"
I sit up immediately. "Who? What? Where?"
"Arold! He floated up into the sky."
I look up and hear him cooing. "Why did you open the sun roof?"
"It was hot."
I flying quickly into the sky and see Arold just flying in the sky. I hear the crow of a bird and quickly get a hold of him before anything else can and punch the bird that tried to eat him. He grabs my finger and smiles at me.
"Hey, look here, mommy doesn't want you flying off yet! Your little lungs can't handle that." I tell him then tickle him and gently fly down back into the room and almost slip on ice.
Adelram keeps me steady and picks up Bel. She cries. She must be cranky. I go into the pond of Light magic and sit Arold in it and let him float in the nice water.
"Come join us Love."
He picks the others up and brings them in before stepping in himself.
"How did you know they'd float?" He asks soaking his body in the magic.
"Because they are Lights."
He nods and closes his eyes and puts his arm around me.
"Are you going to visit her?" I ask.
"No. I'm not." He tells me sternly.
"She's still your sister. I know you still grieve her death. It might be good for you to go alone and say something."
"Everything I have to say won't be nice."
"But it'll be nice to get it off your chest. You can tell at her now and she won't rise up against you."
"I'm done talking about this." He tells me.
"Fine Love, we won't talk about it."
"I wanted to know if you wanted to arrange all of our kids' marriages."
