Chapter 8

READER'S POV

I was in the games room with the brothers and Yui again and I was a bit fixated on my bump. My bump was getting a bit bigger as the weeks went and I'm now wearing baggier tops so my bump wasn't squeezing out of my tops like before. I rubbed my stomach a few times and I realised that something didn't feel right.

Yui noticed the look on my face and she asked me.

"(Y/n)? are you all right?"

"Huh? yeah, I'm OK, just having a quiet talk with Ayame."

I said as I looked at my bump. The Sakamaki brothers, except for Reiji, heard the name of the baby and they had small smiles on their faces. Kanato leans over to my bump and he smiled a little as he stared at my bump.

"Ayame huh? sounds like the perfect name for the baby girl, don't you agree, Teddy?"

I smiled a little when Kanato said this and then he asked me.

"Can I have a feel?"

I was a bit nervous when he asked me this.

"Um, not right now, I need to go to the toilet for a second, I think those anchovies don't agree with me or the baby."

I said as I left the Games room. I stopped in my tracks and I felt my bump a few times hoping to try and feel my baby moving. I knew something was wrong so I headed back to my room and I made a call to the hospital to make an emergency appointment.

As I made my way to the main doors, Laito appeared in front of me and he said to me.

"Hold it! where do you think you're going Kitty-chan?"

"Laito, please get out of the way, I need to be somewhere right now."

"Oh, and where is that?"

"Please just get out of the way!"

I said as I tried to get past him with tears in the corner of my eyes. Laito noticed this and he then asked me.

"Kitty-chan what's going on? is it the baby?"

I couldn't hold back my tears anymore. Laito saw this and I then said to him.

"Laito...it's my baby...I haven't felt her move all day...I'm worried something is wrong with her."

Laito's eyes widen and he then said to me.

"Are you sure you haven't felt Ayame move at all?"

"No, she hasn't moved or kicked all day!"

"All right, calm down, I'll go to the hospital with you, besides, you're gonna need the support."

"Thanks, Laito."

I said as I wiped away my tears and then we got to the hospital. As we waited for the midwife, I rubbed my bump, hoping to try and wake Ayame move or get a reaction out of her. Laito noticed this and he then asked me.

"Still no movement?"

"No, nothing, come on, sweetie, don't do this to mommy."

"Let me have a feel."

Laito said as he placed his hand on my bump and he tried to find a small movement or a small kick from Ayame. I began to get more and more worried and I then said to Laito.

"Laito, something is wrong isn't there?"

"We don't know that for sure, just try and stay calm."

"How can I stay calm when I don't even know what's happening with my little girl?"

Laito sighed a little and then he wrapped his arm around my shoulders and I rested my head on his shoulder. Just then, the midwife called for my name and I then we headed into one of the rooms. I laid down on the bed and Laito held my hand as the midwife used a monitor on my bump.
