~Beth~
We walked for awhile. Daryl said he knew where he was going, but how could he. As far as I knew, none of us had ever traveled this away from the prison, but who knows. This is Daryl we are talking about.
After awhile of walking, I looked up and saw it was about noon. "Daryl? Do we got left over rabbit," I asked. He shook his head, and jumped over a small pond, then continued to walk. I groaned.
"Where exactly are we going," I asked.
"Why are ya askin' so many questions," he said in a mocking voice.
I blushed, and looked down at the ground. "Sorry," I murmured.
"Why are ya always sorry," he mumbled.
To be completely honest, I didn't really know. It might've been because I am a pretty submissive person, pretty shy. I don't really know.
"Why do you always act like a badass," I mocked him the same way he did earlier. He turned his head and looked back at me for a few seconds, then turned his gaze back in front of him.
"We should be there soon," he answered back simply, trying to hide his smile.
I fake gasped," Is Daryl Dixon smiling?" I had caught up to him, now being right behind him.
He turned around quickly, but didn't expect me to be right there. I raised my eyebrows. "Does Beth Greene know how to teleport," he questioned in the same way I did.
"Oh shut up," I laughed. I might've just been imagining things, but I'm pretty sure I heard him chuckle. We walked a bit more, then I saw it. A small cabin, with a river running in front of it.
"I found it with Michone," he said, trudging through the river. I did the same and gasped at the cold water that seeped through my boots.
I walk to up to the cabin and Daryl opened the door, motioning for me to walk in first. "Is this a trap? Because I don't remember Daryl Dixon having manners," I giggled.
I looked at his face, instead of a smile, he looked hurt. "Oh, sorry I was joking. I didn't mean to upset you-" I started, but stopped quickly. He cut me off with a hug. We stood in the middle of this cabin hugging.
After awhile he pulled away from our embrace, and I stood frozen. "Why are ya blushing," he smirked.
"Why'd you hug me," I questioned. I noticed how close he was standing to me. I suddenly felt nervous. I was joking with him, sort of to make a relationship, and now it felt serious. I don't know why, but it felt intimidating, to have him standing there staring at me. It felt like I was attempting to work my way up to his confidence level, but as he stood there, very close to me, I was going back to being my old shy submissive self.
He was much taller than me, and he leaned down, so his lips were next to mine," Why are ya shaking? Are ya nervous?" He was teasing me. I could tease him too.
"Why are ya so close to me," I smirked into his cheek. He pulled back.
"There's moonshine," he picked up a box of bottles with clear liquid inside of them.
~Daryl~
We sat down in the cabin. She held a cup of moonshine, while I held a bottle. I sat on a cushioned chair, while she sat on a couch. They faced each other, and a small coffee table was between them.
She lifted the cup up to her lips, and she took a sip. She scrunched up her face a bit, but swallowed. I chuckled at her.
"Wanna play a drinking game," she asked. I nodded, why the hell not. She explained the game, it was pretty simple.
"I've never... Shot a crossbow before," she smiled.
I took a drink," That one was pretty obvious."
"I know, it was just a warm up. Okay... Your turn," she answered.
"Um... I've never been outta Georgia,"
I said. She took a drink.
"I've never drunk and done something I regretted," she said with a smirk, like she expected me to have done something... I took a drink.
"I've done a lotta things," I laughed.
She giggled and we continued on playing the game. She was pretty good, making me have to drink five rounds in a row, than I thought I had one to get her. It was kind of personal, but I was drunk, and who gives a fuck?
"I've never had sex with someone I've actually cared about," I murmured. She looked at me and smirked. She took a sip, and I had almost choked on the air.
"Who'd you have sex with," I questioned. I mean, her family were pretty religious people, and it surprised me that she had, especially so young.
I grabbed water from the bag and drank it, not wanting a hangover tomorrow. She chuckled at me,"Guess. It was someone at the farm. After you guys arrived."
I almost spit out my water again. "So... There was Shane, Dale, T-Dog, Rick, Glenn, and me... Shane no. I know your smarter to sleep with that asshole,"
I paused when she laughed at me. "Dale was a little too old for ye...T-Dog ain't yer type... Rick was with Lorie, and Glenn was with Maggie, and I definitely know it wasn't that other guy, forgot his name. Ya gotta little naughty side, Beth. Who was it," I asked curiously. I looked up at her, to see her face that was just happy a minute ago, now sad. A tear had slipped down her cheek. "Beth? I'm sorry for asking it's just-" she cut me off.
"YOU DONT REMEMBER," she yelled. Anger and sadness were mixed in her voice. Remember? Remember what?
"I'm not followin' ya," I murmured. I got up, and kneeled in front of the couch.
"Y-you," she cried out. She covered her face with her hands, and the realization of the words hit me hard. In the head, in my heart, in my stomach, just about everywhere.
"M-me," I muttered. My mind wandered back to the dream.
"Y-you were my first," she sobbed. Suddenly, memories came back to me. Not very clearly, but foggy. I would sneak out every night to see her. When Herschel gone and Rick and Glenn went out looking for him, we had sex. It was blurry, but I remember falling in love with her.
"W-why can't I remember," I asked.
"W-when you had went out to look for Sophia. You were gone for a day, and I had worried something had happened to you. That's why I got the idea of... Suicide. When you came back, and Andrea accidentally shot you, you lost your memories, o-of me at least, or of liking me. The next couple nights, you never snuck out to visit me. And you always looked at me with disgust. That's why I started cutting, and... You were the only one that seemed to notice me before. To even bother with me. You didn't think of me as a little girl, until you almost got shot. Then, you just thought I was a little girl lookin for attention."
She finished, and the words hit me hard. I closed my eyes, taking a deep breath, then putting my hand under her chin, and leaning in. The kiss was simple and passionate. Not lust full, but I know knew I loved her. I had
always loved her, just never realized.
