I woke up, with Beth gone, but the scent of cinnamon very present. I get up, and walk down the hallway to see the source was the kitchen. Beth was at the stove, mixing something with a spatula in a frying pan.

I smirked. I walked behind her and wrapped my arms around her," G'morning. Watcha makin?" I felt her freeze under my touch.

"Um, breakfast. G-go sit down it's almost ready," she stuttered. I chuckled to myself, then pulled out a chair and sat down. There was already bowls set and two spoons at the table. I sat down.

"I meant, what's for breakfast?" She smiled, coming over and pouring oatmeal into both of our bowls, and than whatever she was cooking on the stove on top.

"It's this stuff my mama taught me how to make. Oatmeal, obviously, than some caramelized nuts poured over it. We had all the ingredients so, I figured

to make a nice breakfast for a change,"

she smiled. When she said caramelized nuts, I sort of chuckled quietly.

"Ahaha, very funny," she said sarcastically, biting into her food. I smiled, and scooped out some of the oatmeal. It tasted very good, and I was done in a matter of two minutes.

Beth still wasn't half way done, so I went around the house looking for useful stuff. I came back, with a bit of food, water, and a first aid kit. She smiled and quietly murmured," Lizzie always kinda freaked me out."

I laughed at her," Yeah me too. She seemed more interested in walkers than us."

"Yeah. She would name the walkers," Beth giggled.

"Seriously," I chuckled.

"A huh. But I guess everyone has there way of coping with something this traumatic."

"Yeah. Carl acted sorta bratty... What about you Beth," I asked curiously.

"I guess I just look on the bright side. Don't give up hope," she smiled, and looked down to hide her blush.

"So what's the bright side to this," I questioned, leaning against the table.

"You," she murmured, covering her face with her hands. I sat there shocked for a minute, than smiled.

"Your sister is gonna kill me for this," I murmured quietly. I walked over to her, and gently removed her hands from her face.

"I love you," I smiled at her, leaning in to kiss her before she reacted. She smiled into the kiss, than kissed back. We pulled away maybe two minutes later, gasping for breath.

"Yeah she's definitely going to kill you, because I love you too," she smiled, jumping up and wrapping her arms around my neck.

I smiled, she made me so happy. If I lost her, I don't know what I would do.

We had been walking through the forest for awhile. I took down four walkers with my knife. Daryl took our three with his knife and four with his crossbow.

It was beginning to get dark. "We need to find someplace for the night," i asked, trying to balance myself on these rocks that were sticking out of the ground.

He nodded," Yeah. I can see the road up ahead. Maybe there are a few houses."

I nodded, and we kept walking until we made it to the road. Four houses were lined up. All of them were two story. "Kay. Which one," he asked, motioning with his crossbow. I looked them all over thoroughly.

"Um... The mint one," I smiled. He groaned, and began walking to the house. I laughed at him, skipping behind him, than jumping on his back. He groaned, but complied to my request, and have me a piggy back ride to the house.

He put me down on the porch, and knocked on the door. The knock was answered with something slamming up against the door and moaning. "Ya had to pick the ones with the walkers? Back up," he joked. I did as he asked, and he opened the door, to see three walkers stumbled out, tumbling over on top of him.

"Daryl," I yell. I ran up to him, stabbing the first in the head with the knife. Then doing the same with the second, and picking up the third by its shirt, allowing Daryl to shoot it with the crossbow.

"You okay," I ask concerned, giving him my hand. He nodded, taking my hand, and hoisting himself up.

"Thanks, blondie," he smirked. I shoved him playfully, following him inside. We finished clearing out the house, there were no more walkers, so I came downstairs to start raiding it.

I started raiding the kitchen. There was so much food, it made my mouth water. I sat everything edible on the counter, and turned to see Daryl coming downstairs and plopping on the couch.

"Find anything," I asked.

"Nope," he said, popping the 'p',"You?"

"We are in food heaven. And, wanna help me finish looking downstairs,"

I asked.

"Nah," he smirked.

I rolled my eyes," So what does this make us?" I blurted it out before I could stop myself.

He was silent for awhile, before answering," Together?" I nodded, I liked that.
