Emma waited patiently in her seat for Adrien to arrive. A boy behind her pulled on her ponytail.
"Wade, stop that." Emma complained.
She didn't really get along with children her age. During recess she always played with Kurt who was in a grade below her. Emma was really popular almost the boys since she played video games and liked to be active. She never played the Princess role if the children wanted to play Castle on the playground equipment.
She had dressed up in a ladybug tutu since she wanted to look pretty for when Adrien came. The boys were all over her since they had never seen her wear anything girly. They teased her as other students' parents presented.
"Hi, I'm Miss Dupain-Cheng. I'm Emma's mother."
Marinette said hoping that Adrien would appear soon. Adrien had called Marinette to say that he was running late. He had something to pick up before he headed over.
"What do we say class?"
The teacher asked waiting for her class to greet Marinette back. The class had already four parents talk about their careers so the class should be able to greet parents without being asked. They were only around ten so that was probably hoping for too much.
"Hi Miss Dupain-Cheng!"
The class greeted as Emma's eyes were glued on the door waiting for Adrien to arrive.
"I'm a fashion designer which means I make pretty dresses."
Marinette said simplifying what she did. She made people feel and look amazing. Clothing had the same effect as makeup in that instance. The classroom door opened and Adrien sporting some eyeglasses came holding boxes of treats from the Dupain-Cheng bakery.
All the kids didn't care about Marinette's speech about designing clothes. Their attention was focused on the treats the Adrien so kindly brought. The teacher knew he was bringing food since he had called in asking if any of the kids were allergic to anything. She of course told him that a few kids had nut and red food dye allergies.
"Are you trying to be their favorite?"
Marinette joked as the kids lined up to get the finely decorated cookies that didn't contain nuts or red dye.
"I was taught the first impression is the most important and I don't have kids, so I thought I could spoil your daughter." Adrien explained.
He actually was going to be here earlier but he had to stop a bank robbery as his alter ego then go to a photo shoot on the other side of Paris then pick up the treats.
Marinette looked at him as if her blind school girl crush was coming back."You're ... you're amazing... sweet.. kind."
Marinette stumbled with her words causing Adrien to laugh. The teacher didn't hear their conversation but heard Adrien's laugh. She couldn't believe the Emma was telling the truth that Adrien 'the model' Agreste was her father. Emma had never lied about a thing but having HIM as a father was hard to believe.
"Hi, I'm Miss Darling." The teacher greeted as she shook Adrien's hand.
"It's so nice to teach someone as sweet as your daughter."
Miss Darling continued."Miss Darling, I'm sorry there's a misunderstanding. Adrien's not Emma's father."
Marinette explained as she sipped on a class of blue punch that was provided by another parent.
"He's not? I'm surprised." Miss Darling replied.
"You are?" Marinette asked wondering how someone could mistake Adrien to be Emma's father.
"I assumed he was the father since she has his green eyes and his unique laugh." The teacher explained.
Marinette looked at Adrien and Emma who were taking photos with each other. Adrien wanted Emma to have pictures in remembrance of this day. Adrien had wrapped the his blue scarf around Emma and she made funny faces as Adrien took photos. For a mere second Adrien and Marinette looked at each other wondering 'what if' they had actually dated each other.
