"Bugaboo, do you know that it's easy to spot you?" Adrien stated trying to show Emma how to properly flirt like ChatNoir. She was dressed up in a cute little ChatNoir outfit that was as ChatNoir himself would say it "Purr-fectly done." Her wonderfully talented mother had made it after all.
"What's the matter cat got your tongue?" Emma asked the little Ladybug she was practicing her lines with. "I'm proud of you, kitten." Adrien said as he patted her on the head. She was quick learner.
Marinette was out getting groceries to make Adrien and Emma a meal. She wasn't sure what Adrien liked. She knew Emma wasn't a picky eater but had her favorites nonetheless. She choose shrimp tacos. Emma liked the job her mother gave her. It was a simple job but Emma hated not being helpful in the kitchen.
Marinette opened up the apartment door to see Emma standing on the white couch fighting Adrien her replica ChatNoir baton.
Emma jumped onto Adrien's back and said "Ladybug help me beat up, Croissant-Man." Marinette just smiled as she saw how much Emma enjoyed Adrien's company.Marinette went to the kitchen to unload her two reusable grocery bags. She's not a superhero but doesn't mean she can't help the planet little by little. Marinette put the frozen shrimp in a strainer so she could quickly warm them up with warm water.
She put the taco shells on a tray and then put them the oven as Emma jumped up a stool. She took her gloves off but right before she dove in the shrimp to peel off the tails her mother asked if she had wasted her hands. Emma sighed as she washed her hands then jumped back on to the stool once again.
"Is there anything I can do?" Adrien asked Marinette hating to be useless a trait that he had unknowingly passed on to his daughter. "You're our guest and it's rude to put a guest to work." Marinette said secretly thinking that Adrien didn't know the first this about cooking.
"But Mommy, you put Auntie Alya to work when she comes over." Emma said causing Marinette to come up with a different excuse. "Croissant-Man is akumatized he can't help us but we can help get a full stomach." Marinette joked joining Emma and Adrien's little game.
"I guess I'll just wait patiently until a gobble all the croissants in the world." Adrien teased as he sat next to Emma. "Mommybug! You need to find his Akuma! Not for me but for the croissants." Emma screamed. Adrien thought it was cute that Emma referred to Marinette as Mommybug.
"Or you could cure him with a kiss! That's how Auntie Alya cures Uncle Nino." Emma added as she continued peeling shrimp tails. "Emma Maerynnn Dupain-Cheng!" Marinette scolded. She couldn't believe her daughter would suggest such a thing at her age. "But mom..." Emma whined.
Adrien just looked at Emma then back at Marinette. He couldn't let a little girl down so he devised a plan. He had kissed Marinette before as ChatNoir so why should now be any different? "Marinette, it took me away to think of something your bad at and I have it." Adrien said waiting for a response as Emma finally finished with the shrimp. "What am I bad at?" She asked hoping he wasn't going to say cook since she hasn't even finished preparing the meal.
"Kissing." Adrien said as he winked at Emma who was taking mental notes of her role as ChatNoir in her school's play. "I'll have you know Adrien Agreste that I am an excellent kisser." Marinette said as she was tearing some lettuce. "Prove it." Adrien smirked.
"What?" Marinette question not believing what her ears were hearing. Emma had inherited her mother's wide smile when it came to certain things. She wanted Adrien and her mom to kiss so Adrien wouldn't eat her croissants even though Marinette hadn't made any.
"One little kiss, won't hurt." Adrien said then realizing those words were the exact words he used those ten years prior when he defiled his princess. "You'd be surprise what one little kiss can lead to." Marinette joked as she glanced over at Emma who was still waiting for a kiss.
Marinette took the plunge and kissed Adrien over the counter. He knew this would happen yet he was still startled. She was a whole lot better at kissing then she was at eighteen. Emma made a 'Ew' sound when they took a little longer than necessary.
"Happy?" Marinette smiled looking over at Emma who had her face buried in her hands. Adrien was more embarrassed than either Marinette or Emma. He had never had excepted someone as sweet as Marinette to do something so abrupt. He remembered a girl that would let him do anything to her not this new side of her in which he liked very much.
