Chapter 2- I don't like her... I love her

Gabby's POV
I was up all night. I couldn't fall asleep because all my thoughts was about Casey. I can't stop thinking about him. Shift wasn't over yet, so I grabbed some mint ice cream  and started watching TV when Shay came and asked "what are you thinking about?" I couldn't lie to her and truthfully said "Casey. I think about him all the time. After we spoke yesterday, I realized that I don't like him... I love him. Shay I don't know what to do. Please help me." "Well I think that you need to talk to him about what you feel."said Shay and continued "Look, he never was as happy as yesterday. After his fiance died 5 years ago he never dated anyone. He was broken. But when you showed up here you brought the old Casey back." I was in shock for a while but then I asked her to tell me more about him.
Shay's POV
I woke up a little bit earlier than usual. I went to the kitchen and I saw Gabby in there. She told me that she loves Casey and asked me to tell  a little bit more about him. "Gabby, Casey is a very great guy. I don't know anyone else who can be as protective as him. And if it would help you I can talk to him firs and then tell you everything what we talked about."
"You can do this? It'd be great!"said Gabby and  then hugged me.
Casey's POV
I saw Gabby was walking right to her car when Shay came closer to me. "Hey Casey!" "What's up Shay?" I turned around and then she asked " You like Gabby Dawson, don't you?" I looked straight to my feet and I tried not to say a word but then she yelled " I knew it! I knew it!"
"How?" I asked her. "Well I figured that out yesterday when you star looking at her like she is one person in the whole world."she answered and then asked "What you gonna do with it. I mean, you should tell her how you feel about he." I was a little confused, but then I said "Shay, I can say only one thing to you, I don't like her..." I saw how she was disappointed in me and then continued "I love this girl!"
Next shift
Casey's POV
My truck was doing some drills when we need an alarm.
TRUCK 81, SQUAD 3, AMBO 61, BATTALION 25 huge fire 8639 W Summerdale Ave Unit 3.
When we get to the scene I started to get orders for my crew. Otis, Mouch Herman second floor, Dawson, Turner with me. We started searching for victims and all off  a sudden  we heard  an explosion. The last thing I remember was scream, noise and dark.
Brett's POV
We heard an explosion. Chief turned on his radio and said "Firehouse 51 report!" There was silence and few minutes later the whole firehouse went out from the building. All firehouse were fine except one person. It was Matt Casey. Dawson saw helped us to put him in the ambo and said "Guys I'm going with you! I was paramedic before and I think that you will need my help." We get to the Chicago Med and Meggie said " Shay, Brett talk to me." "Male 31, firefighter was near the explosion, was unconscious all our way here." Dr. Halstead and Dr. Rhodes took him into the OR and all we need is just wait and pray.
5 hours later
Gabby's POV
We were waiting for some news, all firehouse were in here when Dr. Halstead and Dr. Rhodes came. Dr. Halstead said "The surgery went well. There were some complications but he is out of the woods for good." And then Dr. Rhodes said "He is awake and asked for one person. He asked for Gabriella Dawson." I was in shock but then I walked into his room and sit next to him. He opened his eyes and said "Hey Gabby! I need to talk to you." I had no idea what he wanted to say, so I just continued to listen him" Gabby I like you! I really do. More than that I love you ."
