Chapter 8 - Family

Matt's POVk
Today is my last day of shift, and Gabby's due date will be in couple days. We are really excited about our future life. I mean I love being with Gabby and I love her, but can you imagine how our life will be better when our 4 kids will be born? Shift starts in 1 hour and Gabby is going with me. She is  bored sitting in here all alone. I helped her get into car and as soon as we were ready we went to the house.
Later at the house
"Hey guys, how are you?" Otis asked us.
I wanted to say fine but alarm went off. It was a huge building fire. I kissed Gabby and as soon as we were ready we went to the scene. I was so scared, I didn't want to get hurt but there is no choice I leave this scene.
Gabby's POV
3 hours later
I can't wait any longer. Everyone should be here by now, but they didn't even respond to the radio. "I'm scary, what if something went wrong?" I asked myself and my phone rang. It was Severide, he said that it was a collapse and Casey got hurt, he also said that need to go to the Med. After that talk I felt something. I knew exactly what it was. My water broke. I called 9-1-1 said my badge number and the ambo 97 wee here as soon as they heard my name.
We head to the Med and both Shay and Severide were standing in the hall, they were waiting for me. I was in pain and at the same time I was thinking about Matt. There were so many options in my head, I thought about how I will live without him, or how will our kids be live without their dad. I said to Will " I can't do it without Matt, he is my everything!" "I know, but you need to push, the first baby is coming!!!" "Will, promise me that all my babies will be fine!" I said and then passed out.
Few hours later
I am awake. I don't feel pain anymore.  I can see Shay and Severide next to me. When I woke up my first thoughts were about kids and Matt. I sat down in the bed and asked "Where is my kids? Where is Casey? What happened to my family?" "Hey, be patient!" Said Shay with a huge smile on her face. After I saw her smile I knew that everything went fine. In couple hours I asked will, can I see Matt, and he said yes before I finished my question. "He is in room 234, and Matt had a surprise for you" Will said and went back to his patient.
Matt's POV
I was awake. Last thing that I remember is my bode wad in the ambo. Then I passed out. I heard somebody it was doctor Rhodes , he said " Good morning! How are you feeling" " good, I guess"" we have a huge surprise for you. " He said and continued " So Gabby was in labor and you were in the OR, she had to do it without you" " Wait, what???? Are you going to say that I am a ..." "Yes, you are Matt! Congratulations, dad! Here are your 4 beautiful and healthy kids" he said and nurses brought me my kids and then he left us alone. I was so happy to see their beautiful faces. Couple minutes later I saw her. It was Gabby. I was still in bed, but I ran to her and kissed her, and she kissed me back. "Hey Momma!" "Hey Daddy!" We said at the same time and laughed. "So how we should called them?" We both asked and Gabby continued " I think that our first boy will be Matthew Casey Junior and our first girl will be Lauren Monica Casey" "That's great, now I guess my turn. I think that our son will be Jesse Shawn Casey, and our second girl will be Maria Elizabeth Casey." I said and heard from Gabby " This is amazing! I love you and our kids" " i love you too baby! We are a great family!"
