Nothing out of the ordinairy happened after that. Tazuna had managed to guilt trip both Team 7 and their Sensei into completing the mission, and this was bothering me severely. I knew the Demon Brothers were decent enough ninja, but Gato would surely hire someone more capable after this incident. I had a few possible perpetraitors in mind, but I would have to wait and see which one was true. Soon enough they had reached the boat, and for a moment my face fell in a frown. There were numerous ways for me to deal with this, but I settled for the easiest one; Chakra in the soles of my feet so I could walk on the water and follow after the boat. I used my elemental powers to draw the mist around myself, succesfully hiding me from their view. My hands were lazily stuck in the pockets of my sad excuse of a pants as I calmly trailled after the boat. I listened to their conversations with half an ear, the other half focussed on my surroundings. I admit that I felt a pang of jealousy at the little genin team. They had found their own little family in this world within their team mates, where as I would be alone like I had always been. Do not get me wrong, I love the peace and quiet of the lonely dark, but even the darkest of creatures find a companion to share their happyness and sorrows with. Any but me, that is.
I had been leisurely walking behind the Genin Team since we got to land, and I was honestly frustrated with them. If they would turn around, they'd have seen me. But none of them, not even their supposed-to-be-Jounin Sensei noticed me. I clacked my tongue in frustration, but the noise got lost in the loud yells of Naruto. I knew who was coming, and I knew Naruto sensed the Rogue ninja. Right on que with my thoughts, a sword soared towards the group. Despite Kakashi yelling to his team to get down, he himself was not fast enough. How troublesome. I shunshinned infront of him and caught the sword in my chakra-enveloped hands so the blade would not cut me, turning its course so I could throw it into the ground, rendering it useless. Not a second later, a cow-like man appeared before us on the ground. ''Impressive for such a little brat. You're not one of them are you, kid?'' Zabuza turned to me, a sadistic smirk on his lips. ''We are not here to get to know one another, Zabuza Momochi. Fight or leave.'' I replied calmly, completely unfazed. Kakashi, who had been in shock from me saving him, slowly moved and lifted his headband to reveal his Sharingan Eye. ''I am here for the old man, but I think its fun to kill you first.'' The Rogue Ninja spat at me, easily angered by my comment and lack of fear. I sighed, and ran my hand through my brown locks. Somewhere behind me, I heard Sakura swoon. Oh that's just great. It seems I found myself a fangirl.
''If we are going to fight him, I will need this!'' Hatake spoke up, and I almost sweatdropped at his bad timing. While the genin had a hushed conversation about the Sharingan Eye, Zabuza had a stare-down with me and Kakashi. Deciding I was quite done with this, I pointed one of my index-fingers to a random tree. ''Tell Haku to stop hiding, these games frustrate me endlessly. Let us fight, so you can both be killed together and this little genin team can complete their mission.'' I spoke slowly, arching an eyebrow as if challenging the Rogue Ninja to deny my perception of his little helper. Kakashi stared at me in confusion, clearly not sensing the second rogue ninja. But with a nod of Zabuza's head, Haku jumped down and stood next to his master. ''Impressive. Who are you?'' Haku's soft voice questioned, and I already felt bad for the fact I was going to kill him. Haku was a good person, who met the wrong mentor when he was a child. He deserved an answer. ''Kaiame.'' I murmured, the feeling of my own name rolling off my tongue, foreign. At the speed of light, I started making handsigns. I knew I did not need to make them, but I had to keep an act up around these people. Immidiately, Zabuza formed the signs for his water-clones. I smirked in the knowledge I was faster, as twenty me's formed around Zabuza and Haku. Darkness clones. With one sweep with their fire-kunai, all the water-clones dispersed. The real me ran towards Haku, my index-finger and middle-finger poking several chakra-points on his body. Now completely rendered useless and his chakra gone, Haku's muscles gave out and he sunk to the ground, unconcious.
Meanwhile, the little genin team gathered around Tazuna and protected him in case any of our attacks strayed off towards them. Kakashi was feverishly using his Sharingan to copy the clone and water jutsu's of Zabuza, while I pulled his sword from the ground and used it to decapitate Haku. I grabbed the boy's head and masked the regret of the kill on my face, before throwing it at Zabuza. ''A little parting gift, Swordsman.'' I drew his attention with my words, and his head snapped just in time to see Haku's head laying at his feet. Zabuza roared with anger and ran at me, throwing kunai at my face. With a flick of my hand, my elemtnal powers used the wind to deflect the Kunai, as I ran forwards at an inhuman speed. Everyone held their breathe as both Zabuza and I stopped, a few meters away from each other. With a cough, the Rogue Ninja spat out blood and sunk to his knees; His own sword sticking out from his chest as he fell down. Dead.
I stood up from my crouching position, glancing down at my shoulder. A single, tiny cut sat on my flesh and I bristled in anger. It was rare for me to get any sort of wound, and thus even this little cut was enough to wound my pride. I would have to push myself to train even harder. I did the necessary handsigns for a healing-jutsu, and with a touch of my green-glowing hand, the cut was gone. I finally allowed my piercing green orbs to study the people around me. Everyone but Kakashi seemed unharmed. The Jounin put his headband back over his eye, and stumbled forwards before sinking to his knees. I clacked my tongue, exasperated. The idiot has over-used his Sharingan. ''Kakashi-sensei!'' The three kids yelled, running towards their wounded comrade. I swiftly went ahead of them, lifting Kakashi over my shoulder. I was small, but not weak. ''He will be fine. I can heal him at a safe place.'' I assured the genin as they stared at me suspiciously. Sasuke scoffed, Sakura stared at me with hearts in her eyes, and Naruto nodded and launched into a preach on how cool their Sensei was. ''Rest at my place, it is the least I can do.'' Tazuna's deep voice spoke up, and the four of us nodded. I carried Kakashi alone, and mentally went over the past hours. It was interesting, to say the least. I was curious what Kakashi would decide I was, once he woke up. Friend or Enemy.
