For a moment, it was completely silent. Not a single sound was made as I landed there in the Hokage's office, standing atop a human slaughterhouse. The ANBU were too horrified to move, and the Third Hokage himself stared at me as if constipated. Annoyed by their idiocy, I pressed a small hand on my chest and bowed down. ''Hokage-sama.'' I greeted cooly. ''These three were assassins send to kill Kakashi Hatake. I found them plotting just outside the village and, as you could see, dealt with the problem and eliminated the risk.'' At the end of my explanation, I stuffed one of my hands in the bloodied heap of human flesh and rummaged about, before pulling out a blood-stained scroll with the kill-order. I held the scroll out towards the Hokage, seemingly unfazed by the blood and chunks of flesh that stuck to my fingers and hand from rummaging through the dead bodies. Very, very slowly the Hokage plucked the scroll from my fingers and opened it, his tired eyes reading along the lines as I wiggled my toes through the blood of the bodies, content with the slightly warm feeling it gave off. ''I see. Bring me Kakashi.'' He said to one of the ANBU, who shunshinned out of the office. ''May I please be excused? It would seem I need to bathe myself and rest, Hokage-sama.'' I finally spoke up. I already lost my interest in all of this, and preffered to clean myself up and rest rather than await the Third's dramatic shenannigans.

But before the Hokage could answer, a knock sounded on the door. I inwardly groaned, snapping my head towards the door in an icy glare. Wrong time, Hatake. ''Please come in.'' The old man stated, watching in mild interest as both ANBU and Kakashi stepped through his door. Immidiately, Kakashi's one visible eye landed on me and seemed to hesitate at my sharp glare. Damn right, Hatake. The timing of your entrance couldn't have been more off. Now I'm stuck here longer. I tore my gaze away from him, back to the desk the Third sat at. ''Kakashi, it seems our young Kaiame has possibly saved your life. Judging by this scroll, these three gentlemen--'' at this, the Third pointed one of his boney fingers towards the horrified gore scene of boodied bodies on the floor; Kakashi swallowing audibly at the sight. ''--were assassins send here to kill you. One Sannin and two Jounin. Kaiame found them just outside the village, plotting. And single-handedly slaughtered them.'' He finished talking, clasping his hands together on his desk. I narrowed my eyes at him. Slaughtered. Why use that word instead of killed? The Third Hokage is displeased with the ferocity I show in battle. Too bad, old man. You should kiss my feet for saving your precious Copy Cat Ninja.

Kakashi eyed me warily for a moment, his gaze switching between the pile of bodies and myself. ''How unfortunate, Hokage-sama. I am glad the issue is dealt with.'' Kakashi's voice sounded bored, but underneath all of that, I thought I heard of pang of distrust. Was he seriously going to question my loyalty and trust, after I possibly saved his life? Kakashi would not last longer then five minutes against a Sannin and his two Jounin side-kicks. He should be grateful. Anger bubbled up inside of me and I expertly wiped my face of all emotions, giving both men an unimpressed look. ''You're welcome, Hatake.'' I deadpanned, narrowing my eyes at him. I was too proud not to point out that he had yet to thank me. I turned my back to him and made my decision then and there; I was returning to my feral life outside the village. ''May I be excused now, Hokage-sama? I need to bathe.'' I insisted, staring the Hokage straight in the eye. I had no doubts that the Third could see my anger in my eyes, my hurt in being distrust and my hesitation in ever helping the Leaf Village again. For a moment, neither of us spoke. He observed me, while I put all my hatred for him in my glare. ''Very well. Thank you, Kaiame. You are dismissed.'' His words were cautious, and he hesitated. Was he dismissing me from the office, or had he just dismissed me from the village? He was not sure, but he soon would be. The moment they could no longer find me, is the moment he knew the impact of his childish distrust towards me. I gave a sharp nod of my head and, without making the necessary handsigns, shunshinned out of the office and back to my freedom in the wild. Goodbye, Village Hidden in the Leaf.
