Percy's not dumb. It sort of sometimes frustrates me when people make jokes about how he's 'too slow' or 'dumb' or an 'idiot'. Sure, he can be an idiot sometimes, but everyone has one or two idiotic moments in life. He's actually pretty smart, (Annabeth said so herself too in MoA/HoH, I don't know in which one but she said it), and I shall give an example:
In MoA, Percy literally devised a plan in a few quick seconds to defeat Cryasour (the pirate man, idk how to spell his name) with the "tremble before the horror of diet coke" and "oh no, Frank's turning into a crazy dolphin" thing. He made that plan. By himself. Under a few seconds. Without properly knowing Cryasours story in the first place. Does he look dumb here? I didn't think so.
Yes, he's a dam sass master and is Persassy, but he ain't dumb. Or stupid.
