"Heaven Meyers." I heard my name. I walked on stage to receive my diploma. This is the day that I've been waiting for. Tomorrow Rodney my siblings and I are moving to Cali.
I walked off stage with my diploma in my hand. Rodney greeted me with a peck on the lips. Kyle and Nyah attacked my legs. Rodney lead me by the hand out of the school's gym. "Baby wait graduation ain't over." I said.
"You got your diploma. What you waiting on?" He replied.
"You right."
We hopped in his car.
"I'm so proud of you baby." He said.
"Thank you."
"Momma would be proud too." Kyle said.
Tears trickled down my face.
"She is proud." Rodney said.
"I proud." Nyah said.
I cried even harder. Rodney drove us to my place.
I broke down in tears. I really wish momma was here to watch me graduate, and see me get married, and see me have kids. Damn. I'm out here parentless. Nyah won't even remember our parents. She hardly remembers dad. Sometimes she says dad but she does it randomly.
"Its okay." Nyah said as she patted my back. She climbed in my lap and gave me a squeeze. I kissed her fat cheeks. Rodney sat next to me and wrapped his arms around me.
"I love you." He said.
"I love you too." I replied.
"I got you baby."
"Remember I need you."
"Remember I trust you."
"Remember I love you."
Rodney kissed my forehead.
"I feel a bit better." I said.
"You wanna pack the last of the stuff?" He asked.
"Yeah."
I sat Nyah on the couch and I stood up. We went in my room and packed up my last bit of stuff. Then I got ready for dinner. Rodney is taking me for dinner as a reward. I graduated salutatorian. Ty graduated valedictorian. Ty is supposed to be meeting with us for dinner. I looked at my self in the bathroom mirror. My lavender strapless dress hugged my curved the right way. I applied lipgloss to my lips and brushed my straight remy. Kyle walked in the bathroom.
"How do I look?" I asked.
"Amazing." He replied.
"Thanks."
I walked back in my room and slid my feet in my plum pumps.
I grabbed my matching plum clutch.
I walked in the living room.
"I'm ready." I said. Rodney stood up. A smile creeped up on his face. He walked up to me and kissed me.
"We will be back." I said to Kyle and Nyah.

At dinner.
Ty Rodney Jarod and I sat in the Cheesecake Factory. We ate and socialized.
"You ready for the big move?" Ty asked.
"Yeah. I need a fresh start." I replied.
"I'm happy for you. Don't forget to visit me when I move to Ohio."
"I ain't gonna forget."
"Alright."
"Yeah so what you gonna study?"
"Bio chem."
"What happened to just bio?"
"I changed my mind."
"I see."
"Well I'm still not sure what I wanna do. I guess Ima figure it out eventually."
"You will. Just give yourself time."
