For Me,For Them,For You: Soul X Maka

"Wow, That's Odd?" -Chapter 1

I was a proud student of the DWMA and the top of my class. I am a 12 year old Meister who is also semi-active weapon. My partner, Soul Eater, was a demon scythe who was one day destined to be a Death Scythe which was the strongest scythe he could "evolve to".

I raced up the stairs to the Acdemy as Soul trudged behind me tired and not willing to go to school. He usually missed classes anyway and got into fights with other weapons and meisters. "He was too cool for school."

I walked into the entrance of the Acdemy and opened the door for Soul to go in. He smiled at me as he did.

"Ya know, letting my Meister open doors for me is pretty uncool. I don't want cha' to open all the doors I walk through. Ya need respect too ya know?" He walked past me smiling still. I gazed out for a moment staring at him as my face was in full blush. "Ahem....Soul to Maka you there?" Soul waved his hand in front of me.

"Huh...what?...Oh yeah I-Im ok." I replied as I felt my blush slowly disappear. Soul held my hand and tugged me. " COME ON THEN LETS GO TO THE BOARD! I wanna see if there are any new jobs up there." I laughed at him a bit then smiled. " Ok ok calm down. Besides Kid and Blackstar probably took them anyway."

Soul stopped turning around and crossed his arms at me. " Do you allwaaays have to ruin my good mood? Not cool Maka, not cool at all." He looked into my eyes with a smile.

I tapped my foot and rolled my eyes. "Well you always gotta bug me to stop getting locked up in the library." I smirked at him like I was tryna get pay back. " Annndddd your point is exactly? Your still not cool...." Soul snikered at the shorter greenish gray haired female Meister.

I pushed him aside and walked to the board. " Yeah yeah whatever just help me pick one already would cha'?" Soul put his hands in the pockets of his shirt and stared at the board. "Wait.....where are all of the missions...they like...vanished!" Soul exclaimed with a demonic snarl. I stared at the board as well. All of the missions were taken and there was none left for the two of them.

"Damn it I was really looking forward to one today. We get one everyday though. Why wasn't there any left for us." Soul pouted and huffed. I tapped on his shoulder to get his attention towards me.

"Soul.... we're not the ONLY ones who didn't get a mission. No one did." I had pointed to the board, on top of it reads; "Lord Death has decided no missions today" Soul squinted at the words.

"Damn that's odd. People could be  in danger by now. Come on Maka I don't have time for this." He grabbed my arm as I took it back."No, we'll miss school and I have perfect attendance." He glared at me with his Ruby red eyes.



"Haven't you noticed Kid,Patty, Liz,Blackstar and Tsubaki aren't here? They could be in trouble." I rolled my eyes and smiled. " -sigh- Oh Soul, Soul, Soul. They are ALWAYS late for school."

Soul stepped closer to me with an angry look on his face. "Well haven't you noticed THEY ARE NOT PICKING UP THEIR PHONES EITHER!? Now let's go and find them before SOMEONE gets hurt got it?" Soul seemed a bit pissed to me and I just wanted to get out of his way before he hurt me.

"F-fine let's just go then." I sadly spoke walking past him,head hung so it didn't meet his eyes. I hated it when he yelled at me like that. That was him now. He's becoming more aggressive and impatient towards me.

I hope our soul wavelengths don't break. I'd hate for that to happen. Last time it did, I could barely hold him. He burned my hands when we were fighting the werewolf, Free, in a battle.

Soul surprised me as he came up behind me as I was lost in my thoughts. He hugged me and mademy face red.

"I'm sorry I yelled like that. I don't know what's getting into me lately. Yelling at my Meister is so uncool. I'm sorry for bein' a dick." I closed my eyes and hugged him back. "It's ok Soul. It's not your fault. Now,let's go find our friends ok?" I looked up at him and smiled.

He looked down at my eyes and placed his fingers through my hair. "Yeah, we should go and hopefully fight some kieshen butt!" He looked a bit happier and back to his cool self. "Then let's get moving!" I laughed happily as I pulled him down the stairs.
