We went to New York and everything flowed smoothly. Right now we're on the flight back home. Cody's been asleep for the last four hours. He fell asleep just after take off so I've been sat here entertaining myself for four hours, I'm going crazy.
Cody started to stir after a few more minutes. "Hey, sleepy-head." I smiled at him, he smiled back and stretched. "How long have I been sleeping for?" He looked out the window. "Like four hours and a bit." "Damn, I'm so tired." He yawned. "You can go back to sleep when we get home." I told him. "Mhmm." He reajusted in his chair and then looked at me.
"So, we have some time to kill. I wanna ask you something?" I sat up straight. "Go on.." "Mom's planned for us to go to London for a week." "Who's us?" "Her, Lilly and I. And I was wondering that maybe you could come with us because I don't like going there." "Sure but how come?" "Rhianna." I stated. "Oh. The devil cousin." He laughed.
"Yes and I don't think I can stand a week with her without my brother to make fun of her with me." I said. "I'll come and fill in for your brother then." He grinned. "Or you could just be my boyfriend and come with me." "I'd love to support you in this hard time that you're about to enter." He spoke sarcastically. "Don't be annoying." "Plus, she's hot." He shrugged. "Cody!" I scolded which made him laugh.
"I'm joking. She's too fake." He scrunched up his face. I giggled and nodded. "She's like one of Lilly's dollies." "Speaking of Lilly, why does she still have a thing with me?" "What do you mean?" I questioned. "Ever since our fight the other day. When I came in and you were watching 101 Dalmations and she called me Cruella." I laughed at him.
"I'm not sure. I never told her what you said so she must just be acting weird." I shrugged. "Was she weird with Marcus when you picked her up on Thursday?" He asked. "Nope." I popped the 'p'. "But that's not important." I smiled. Cody forced a smile back.
"When we get home, what are we gonna do?" I got up and sat on his lap. "Dunno." Cody stared out the window. "We could take Lilly out?" I suggested. "Sure." He said without any emotion. "Or we could chill at home." "Whatever." He kept the same tone. "You seem distracted." I sighed. Cody finally turned to look at me. "I'm fine." He forced a smile once again before looking at my lap.
"No you're not." I rested my hands on his shoulders. Cody's hands rested on my thighs, he sighed and looked up again. "I just don't like him." He shrugged. "Marcus. It's like, I tried but every time I think about the two of you being together all I can focus on is that he kissed you and that he has feelings for you. It's so selfish but I don't want you to be friends with him." He avoided looking at me while he spoke.
"I'm sorry, Codes, I'm sorry that you feel that way. But I need to be selfish and tell you that he's my friend and that's not going to change no matter how much you don't like him. I understand why you don't like him but it's unfair on me and right now I need to stick up for me." I cupped his face in my hands. "I just don't want her to like him more than me." His eyes finally met mine.
"Lilly adores you more than anything, seriously, she isn't looking for a replacement." "I know but she's my little baby an-" "And it's gonna stay that way." I promised with a kiss on his nose. His eyes were big and sad. People tend to look so beautiful when they're sad. "We had fun this weekend, yeah?" I moved away from his face.
"I need to sleep." Cody said. "You do look very tired." I smiled which made him smile. "So what do you want to do when we get home?" He asked. "You wanna sleep." I said. "Yeah." "So you'll sleep and I'll find other people to occupy myself." "Who?" "I might go over to Trey's." I shrugged. "Sounds fun." "I wanna see his baby momma." Cody laughed at me.
"What?" I giggled. "Baby momma." "Fine, I wanna see Cara." I rolled my eyes. "How far along is she now?" "Like five or six months." "Not long!" "I know! Cara wants me to go baby shopping with her some time because Trey's not very cooprative and her friends bore her, whereas I'm perfect." I smiled. Cody laughed once again.
