After Marie and Elena's fight, Marie was already planning out elaborate ways to bring Elena down. She's like this, usually. She could barely tolerate Elena before, for unknown reasons, but now she's hit the breaking point.
Her genius plan? She's going to get Elena fired so Stefan won't have contact with her.
She quickly drives over to the shop, running every red light, thinking laws don't apply to her. She angrily knocks on the door until Stefan opens it because he hasn't officially opened shop yet.
"Hey babe, how are you?" Stefan holds on to her arm, "Is that a tear on your face?"
"Get off of me!" Marie yells, which causes a bit of turned heads from civilians.
"Woah, what the hell did I do?" He asks, as they slowly migrate inside.
"I saw Elena's phone, and there was a text from you. I can't handle you texting other girls, and I definitely can't handle you texting my own sister. Would you like it if I made out with your brother?"
"Those are two completely different things. Plus, I was only texting her because we're coworkers now, and I guess I'd consider us friends. The only reason I even became her friend was because I thought it would be important to be close with your family!"
"Great, thanks for saying that, got it all recorded. Now she'll realize you don't like her back, and you won't have to fire her because she'll probably quit!" She smiles in excitement and grabs his hand.
He flinches, "You recorded me? Are you crazy?" He lets go of her hand, "And you were going to make me fire her, all because of a text?"
"Stef, you know how jealous I get!" Marie rolls her eyes.
"Yeah, well, this is too far. It's not healthy. I think we just need to... take a break for a little." Stefan says, and turns away before she can even react.
"You're breaking up with ME?" She gets redder than she's ever been, like she's going into a full 9 year-old temper tantrum.
"No, it's a break. I just need time to think. I'm sorry."
"Sorry isn't going to cut it, you're going to regret this, Stefan Salvatore." She storms out and whispers quietly, "Elena's going to pay."
