Elena drives to her house, not knowing where to even go, and she stops outside. She wonders.. can I even go inside? Marie hates her now, and of course her mom will probably believe whatever lies Marie decides to tell her now. Her eyes abruptly tear up, and she slowly turns around, and walks down the stairway on her porch. She steps into her car and grabs an over-sized red hoodie with a Miami Beach logo which she got with her dad when was younger. She hides her face into it and cries her eyes out.
"I'm so done doing this, why do I always do this!" she mumbles to herself, "everyone hates me, and I know why. I know why Marie hates me so much... it's because I'm the annoying little sister. She probably hates it when people find out we're siblings, because I'm such a loser." She doesn't have to worry about mascara running down her eyes, although, the tears running down her face don't make for the best look.
Meanwhile, Stefan leaves the shop, and as fast as he possibly can, drives to where he is almost positive Elena went. After running into numerous red lights, which almost went slower then the speed limit of all the roads he was driving on, he finally escapes traffic.
Suddenly, she hears a knock on the car window. Knowing that it will probably be Marie, or Stefan, she quickly hides her face and turns the music in her headphones louder. The knocking keeps going, and she hears a mans voice. Not Stefan's, though, its higher. She could recognize Stefan's voice even if she was a mile away.
She settles down for a second, and then rolls down her windows. Her eyes widen, and her cheeks turn bright pink. "Matt? What are you doing here?"
"Hi, Elena. I was just wondering if you wanna go out sometime." He asks, with a smug smirk on his, what some would call a punchable-face.
"Oh, um..." Elena pauses, as her body goes into an immediate flight or fight mode, and suddenly her brain goes blank, "Wait, huh?!"
"You. Me. Pizza. Can we?" He shortens his words, probably not to make the sentence quicker, but just because he really doesn't know how to form a full sentence.
"I- I would need to think about it.. A lot has been going on today..." She looks down at the grown and starts swinging her leg slightly, "I'm sorry..."
Matt, slowly starting to lose his patience, cups Elena's face somewhat gently. "This will take your mind off of it. Come on, don't you miss when we used to be best friends?" He smiles, making her smile, not realizing his intention isn't innocent.
"I can't believe you remember about us being best friends, I thought you'd completely forgotten. But, about the date... I don't know, I'm kind of trying to get over someone, or at least attempting to." Right as she's about to take his hands off of her face, she sees a familiar face driving down her street. Stefan Salvatore, with a very broody look on his beautiful face.
Elena did what any teenage, jealous girl would do in that moment. She grabs Matt's face and kisses him, right there. The kiss was definitely good, even though it caught him off guard, Elena was a good kisser for having practically zero experience.
She moved her hands through his hair, and he put his hands on her waist. Though they were having a full on make-out session in her driveway, she was thinking about Stefan the entire time. Of course, he was thinking about her too. Elena grabs Matt's hand and they walk into his car, and leave, without even muttering more than a sentence. She looks out the tinted windows of his car, and sees a lonelier-than-ever looking Stefan Salvatore, turning his car around.
He had a full tank of gas ready, just so he could tell Elena he's in love with her. Timing for the two don't work out the best.
