My dad dropped me off late, again and all my teachers are getting worried about it. They think I'm doing something wrong but how is a seven-year-old suppose to do something bad? I'm only seven. Not twenty-seven!

I walked into class and sat down hearing muffled voices in the back. I slumped down in my seat and lifted up my knees to my chest as I wrap my long sleeved covered arms around them and dug my chin in. Only able to see my nose and eyes.

~~~
The bell rang to recess and when I was about to go out my teacher Fi told me to stay back for a moment. My heart instantly dropped. I know Miss Fi was nice and all but, I was still scared of what would happen. Or what she would possibly do.
"Link can we talk?" She asked softly. I nodded hesitantly, bitting my bottom lip. She gestured me to a chair and I sat down. I began to fiddle with my thumbs as she circled me around her desk and the chair I was on. My heart began to beat faster and faster and I felt like I was going to explode! Until she stopped at her desk.
"Link?" She questioned. I hummed in response to shakily. "Why do you have bruises on your neck?" I looked at her confused.
'Bruises? I don't have- wait...'
"B-bruises? I have bruises on my neck?" I stuttered. She nodded showed me where on her own neck. I rubbed my nape with the sleeve of my shirt. "Um... I-I'm not sure. I-i didn't know I had bruises on my neck to begin with..." I mumbled. She hummed.
"Link, if anything is going home-"
"Nothing is going on!" I interrupted her before she could even finish.
If anyone found out, I would be dead before I get to be eight!
"Okay? Well, you can go to recess now Link." I stood up quickly and hurried out her door to my usual spot hoping Zelda was there. And thankfully, she was.
I walked to her waving softly. She looked up guessing from the noise I was making and waved back at me. "Hi, Link!" She smiled brightly that almost made my heart melt with joy. "Hi!"
I took a seat next to her with a smile. "Why did you take long?" She asked concerned. I looked into her green eyes and said, "My teacher wanted to talk to me." She nodded showing me her book.
"I got a new one at the book store yesterday. Hey, why don't we go?"
"Go? Go where?" I questioned tilting my head.
"To the book store silly!" She giggled. My face lit up with an 'oh' look.
"Yeah let's..." then my mind slipped away, well the thought did. My daddy would never let me go out with a friend would he? Probably not. He'll probably think I told and he'll hurt me... Maybe-
"Link!?" Zelda snapped her little fingers in front of my face snapping me out of my paranoid thoughts.
I nodded slowly giving her a reassuring smile. Her face expression was worried but she smiled anyway to hide it. She gave me her book, setting it on my lap as she opened it up to a random page. We looked through random pages naming different things and trying to pronounce big words and understand what they meant. Because a big word like nightgown or nitgrown... how ever it's spelled, is hard and I have no idea what that is. At all.
A few minutes by and the bell rang. We stood up together, holding hands as we walked back to class. Then, he had to come along.
"Oooo look, Link is holding hands with his imaginary friend! Thinking he has a girlfriend!" Dark Link said mockingly. I tightened my grip around her hand and continued to walk.
