Today was starting out as a good one! I got a present from my bestest best friend, and nothing bad happened all day long. Dark was sick, so that means no bully duty since Groose and Majora never do anything without him.

My friends were finally able to come out at recess instead of just lunch and we all were able to hang out together. I got to read my favorite book with my friends and act out some of the funny scenes as Daruk played Mr. Hero. Urbosa was his sidekick, and Mipha and Zelda were his two "lovers". I read along as they would act out the scenes. Laughing and joking around at both recess and lunch.

Today has been the best day! I don't think anything can ruin this!

It was the last class of the day, and Miss Fi gave us a worksheet to work on together. And I actually tried to answer some questions. For once without Dark always teasing me.

We finished the worksheet and we didn't have homework either so it was a pretty easy day for us and me. We all got packed up since we didn't have anything to do so we all just talked for the rest of class.

Miss Fi got a call on the school phone, shushing us to be quiet as she talked. We all stood silent for about 10 minutes until she hung up and we all continued from where we left off. Miss Fi came to my seat and looked at me as I did at her.

"Link, the counselor wants to see you in her office." I looked at her and nodded. I exit out of the class room and skip happily to the counselor office. I know I should be worried and all but, with the day I had today how can I be worried?

I stepped into he office as the office lady led me to the counselor office. She was at her desk talking to someone. Someone familiar.

"Ah, Link. You made it." She spoke. I walked in as the office lady left. "Come in, come in." I did as told and walked in more so I was close to her desk. I looked to the side seeing the lady from before. From my house.

"Link, this is Ms. Nabooru." She Introduced the lady from before. I nodded taking a seat next to Nabooru.

"She told me that you two have been in contact just a day or two ago, correct?" The counselor asked. I nodded.

"I told him if he need to talk to anyone, he could to go me since I gave him my number if anything were to happen. And he contacted me minutes later after I left." Nabooru explained. The counselor nodded in understanding and looked at me.

"Link, what did you need to talk about? Or let out?" She asked. I looked at Nabooru and shook my head.

"I'm sorry... But I want to keep that private." I answered. She looked at me for a second but smiled softly. "I understand Link."

We talked and talked about things that have been happening since I got adopted. Not the bad things, but good. Even though there were rarely any good things, me and my dad still had our moments of fun.

After a while, the counselor released me so I could go home. Nabooru was released after I was and caught up to me.

"Link!" I turned around and smiled at her. "Link I have some news." She smiled, kneeling down to my size. "After yesterday, the guys have been looking and we may have found a family for you."

"A... a family? For me..." I looked up at her. She hummed in response. "But... how?"

"We found a family that is suitable for you. They're a loving couple that is willing to take you in. We've been talking for a while now and when I showed them you, they fell in love. Link, they want you. They want you to join their family." She placed her hand on my shoulder and smiled softly.

"They... they want me? A-a family wants me?!" I said, almost not believing what she said.

'A family wants me! Me! They love me and they want to have me... I can't believe this is happening! But what about my Dad?'

"Yup. I'll come by in A few days to talk about it with you and your father. Unless you want to do it privately because of your father?"

I hummed and shook my head not really thinking. "We can talk about this with my dad." I didn't really know what I was saying. All I knew was that a family really wants me!

"Okay. I'll come by in a few days. Bye Link." She left, waving at me as I jogged home.

"I can't believe a family wants me! I mean I do have one already... But... they love me and my dad doesn't. So I would rather be with a family that loves me. Right?" I contiuned to talk to myself as I made my way home.

I opened the door, seeing that my dad was here still. I put my backpack down on the couch and walked to the fridge grabbing a small snack.

"Link?" He called to me. I sighed and walked to where he was calling me from.

"Yes?" I answered.

"I... I'm going to be out late today." He said.

That's all?

"Okay."

I expected him to yell at me or something. But he didn't.

"Just do your homework and go to sleep early. Alright?" He looked at me. His eyes had nothing in them. He was... broken? His eyes had no emotion, no life. I've never seen him like this before. Usually his eyes would be filled with anger but nothing. What was wrong with him?

"Okay dad." I said softly.

He walked passed me and opened the door as he slammed it shut.

What was wrong with my dad?
