I woke up the early this Monday, getting ready for school. I put on my long sleeved under my blue shirt with pants and my brown converse. I picked up my backpack and unlocked the door stepping out quietly. I went down the steps, seeing no one in the living room or hearing anything in the kitchen. So I assumed my dad was still sleeping.
I grabbed a chocolate milk from the fridge and made my way out the door of the house before my dad could wake up and tell me anything about that night.

I got to school early today. In fact, I think a bit too early. There were barely any students around. I didn't see anyone I talk to a lot mostly just older kids and the occasional bullies. No one really. Then I saw Zelda. She was sitting on a bench by the cafeteria. I went into a brisk jog and went to her.
"Hey Zelda!" I greeted. She looked at me with a bright smile across her face.
Her smile would just bring me so much happiness. It was just all familiar. Her eyes and smile. It would always make me happy, and all warm and fuzzy inside.
I took a seat next to her. She showed me a new book as she shoved it in my face.
"Look look look! I got a new book!" She exclaimed happily. I chuckled grabbing the book from her hands.
"You got 'The Adventures of Mr. Hero: the jewels eye'? Your so lucky! I only finished the first one but you got the second one!" I looked at the book in awe. I couldn't believe she got my favorite book! Let alone the second one!
I've always wanted the second book the day it came out but I never had enough money to get it since I was an orphan then. But even now that I have a dad, he still wouldn't buy it for me. Now that Zelda has it, I can read it with her and finally find out what happens to Mr. Hero!
"Yup! My care taker got it for me yesterday since I always tell her if I can buy a book for you and I noticed you like Mr. Hero so, I got you this book!" She smiled sweetly.
'She got it for me? No has ever done that before... not even my friends.'
"Thank you, thank you, thank you, Zelda! I can't believe you got me this book!" I smiled happily, giving Zelda the biggest hug I could give anyone in the world!
She ment a lot to me since I met her and then she goes and get a me a book?
"Gee... wait, does that mean I have to get you something to? Because I can try to get you something or draw something to show that I'm thankful!" I said, looking at her worriedly.
She shook her head with a slight giggle. "You silly. You don't have to get me anything. Because you being my friend, is the best gift I could have." She smiled brightly. I smiled and gave her another tight hug.
"Thank You, Zelda." I mumbled softly.
"It was my pleasure, Link."
