For the rest of the week, Yeri was off, and wouldn't be nearly as affectionate with Jungkook as she usually was. She was still scarred about what happened that other night and had told Jungkook, and he was concerned too, but for her it was all she could think about.
"Yerimie, it's time for us to leave now," Jungkook called up the stairs, tying his bootlaces.
"Jeong-guk, it was so nice of you two to be here for a while. I missed you so much," Mrs. Jeon told him, kissing the side of his head.
"Aw, Eomma, I missed you all so much," he said, kissing his mother's cheek lightly. She smiled and hugged him tight.
Yeri walked down the stairs, and Jungkook saw her, announcing, "Here comes the beautiful princess!" with his arms wide, and put his hands around her arms, kissing her when she reached him.
She smiled a small smile, leaning into Jungkook and wanting to just bury her face into his chest and stay cooped up inside the house so they would stay safe no matter what and not think about anything else but him and her.
He was warm and his shirt was silky and soft, she could just sleep right there leaned up against him. She got little sleep the night before, which caused her to be completely exhausted the day after. She couldn't stop thinking about the incident and what the person said. She even wondered if she should break up with Jungkook for a little while to protect him, and as much as she wanted to protect him, she didn't want to let go of him, ever.
She was so conflicted.
Mr. and Mrs. Jeon and Jung-Hyun bid their heartfelt goodbyes and Jung Hyun helped them carry their bags out to the cars, which they were taking separately to stay safe.
When it was time for them to part ways and leave in their separate cars, Yeri couldn't let go of Jungkook. She even had a breakdown, which really surprised him.
This wasn't Yeri.
She literally, physically, wouldn't let go.
"Yerim, jagiya, I have to go," he said, trying to peel her off as gently as he could. He felt so bad though. He wanted for her to just come with him, but he didn't want her to get hurt. This is what they had to do from now on, now that the threats had come pouring in and become very real.
"What if you get hurt, or worse, Kookie? I'll die if you do," she cried, tears streaming down her face.
"I'm not gonna die, Yeri. Don't worry. You and I will both be fine. Trust me, aein," he comforted, hugging her to him and kissing her head. This was probably making it worse, in a way, making her feel even more attached.
"I have to go now, jagiya. I love you," he told her, pulling away and walking to the car, not giving her another chance to say goodbye.

The whole ride was torturous. Every minute, she wanted to be on the phone with Jungkook to assure he was okay, but she withheld herself. Her phone was charging and it was almost dead, which was a good excuse and reason for her to hold herself back from calling him.
Every minute she worried for him, and she looked around the surroundings they drove through for herself, too.
After the drive, the driver took Yeri back to Red Velvet's hotel, as she had requested. Jungkook promised he would meet her there, and arrive as quietly as he could.
It took Jungkook another twenty minutes to get there, so Yeri took a shower before he got there and as she walked out of her room, drying her hair with her towel, Jungkook walked in, calling, "Annyeonghaseyo."
"Jungkook! You're finally here," she said, rushing forward and dropping her towel, bringing his face down to hers and kissing him. She squished his face, and he couldn't even move his lips to do anything on his part to kiss her. He laughed, and once she let go he said, "Traffic. It took us longer because of that."
