She said yes.
And year or so later, they were married.
The first morning, Yeri woke up late, looking over to Jungkook, who was still peacefully asleep beside her. She gazed at his silver ring, his hand resting on his stomach, and smiled. She still couldn't believe that it was all real.
She was married to Jeon Jungkook, officially.
She now shared his last name, his home, and his kids eventually.
"Jeon Yerim," she said out loud to herself, grinning. She squealed, jumping out of bed and changing into her day clothes. "Jeon Yerim." She continued to repeat it in her head, the more she said it the more real it was.
She had to be the world's happiest girl.
Her family loved him, too, which was awesome, and their whole families and all of their unnies and hyungs were able to attend the wedding. Now she felt like they were all one huge family.
She looked over at Jungkook again, unable to contain her happiness. She was officially his, and he was officially hers.
He stirred, rolling over to face her, his eyes still closed. "Yeri. Are you there? Are we actually married? Is this real?" he mumbled. Yeri smiled, walking over to him and kneeling on her side of the bed, stroking his hair.
"Yes, Jungkook. This is real. You're my husband," she said. The words felt weird in her mouth, but so good.
"You're my wife!" he exclaimed, sitting up. His sheet fell off, exposing his bare chest and skin. He went to pull it up, but then paused. "Oh, wait..... you're my wife." They laughed together, and he took her face in his hands, tilting his head to the side and kissing her. "Yeri....."
"Hm?" she stayed put where she was, her eyes still closed, but when someone knocked at the door, her eyes opened and they both looked over towards the bedroom door. "I'll get it," she insisted, running out of the bedroom. He got up and pulled some clothes on other than his boxers, and she went downstairs and opened the door.
"Hi," she greeted. It was Namjoon.
"Good morning. Is..... is Jungkook upstairs?" Namjoon asked awkwardly, looking past her and into the house.
"Uh. Um. He's kind of....."
Jungkook slid up behind her, greeting Namjoon.
Namjoon looked at Yeri. "He was kind of what?"
"He was getting dressed."
"Mm. So how was last night?" he asked straight out, and Jungkook froze. Yeri's eyes widened.
"Namjoon, how about we talk about something else?" Jungkook said, clearing his throat. "That's..... uh..... kind of inappropriate to discuss right now."
Namjoon laughed, slapping Jungkook's shoulder. "I'm just kidding, hyung. No, I came to ask you to review these lyrics, Jungkook." Namjoon leaned down, his hands on his thighs, continuing to laugh. "Ah, the looks on your faces when I first said that! Priceless!"
Jungkook narrowed his eyes and Yeri laughed awkwardly as he grabbed the file folder from Namjoon. He skimmed the lyrics over for two seconds and then closed the folder again, shoving it back in Namjoon's hands. "Yeah, they're good."
"Wha —"
"Bye, Namjoon," Jungkook said as he pushed him out the door.
"Wait, I was just joking —"
Jungkook closed the door behind him, Yeri looking up at him. Jungkook looked so embarrassed, his cheeks and ears tinted slightly pinkish-reddish. "Oh, that was so embarrassing," he admitted, and Yeri laughed.
"Yeah," she agreed, blushing. "That was."
"Life lesson — RM will always say everything straight out. Even if it's..... that."
