Mac and Daniela have been best friends for as long as she can remember. She remembers growing up with him in Wake Forest, North Carolina, even though he is her senior by four years. Mac was always there for her like an older brother. He was there for her first heartbreak with her first boyfriend her sophomore year of high school. He was even her prom date both her junior and senior years, while he was playing ball at Wake Forest University, which is located in their town. 

Once she graduated high school she went off to Wake Forest University and he graduated before signing with the San Francisco Giants. While Daniela was doing her undergrad at Wake Forest, she was still there for Mac. She watched all his games and when school was out she would visit him and go to his games. When Daniela graduated, she moved to California and moved in with Mac. Now, he's with San Francisco, trying to get as much playing time as he can. 

Right now the Gaints are at home and tonight is a rare off night for the team. Daniela has been wanting to go out with Mac for ages and decides she wants to hit up the hottest club in all of the Bay area.

"Dani, are you sure you want to go to Karma tonight?" he asks her, as they sit in their living room.

"Yes, did you order the Uber already?" she asks him, her clutch in her hand.

"Yes, it's 6 minutes away, impatient ass," he replies, muttering the last part under his breath.

"I heard that, dick face!" she retorts, smacking him in the back of the head.

"Why are we friends again?" he jokingly asks.

"Because I'm a fucking delight, Williamson," she replies, bumping shoulders with him.

The Uber eventually arrives and they leave their condo. They get inside the Uber and make their way through the streets of San Francisco. After 10 minutes, they arrive outside of the bustling club. They thank their driver before exiting the vehicle and making their way towards the VIP entrance.

"Name?" the bouncer asks, clipboard in hand.

"Williamson," Mac informs him.

The bouncer looks up and down the list for a second before nodding.

"Enjoy," he replies without emotion, lifting the red velvety rope up.

They make their way inside and head straight for their VIP table. They pop open the bottle of Hennessy and pour each other shots. They take a couple shots and Daniela immediately starts swaying to the sound of I Like It by Cardi B, Bad Bunny, & J Balvin. A few minutes later, a few of Mac's teammates show up, accompanied by their significant others. Dani greets all of them before heading to the dance floor with a couple of the girls, leaving the men by themselves in at the table.
