Delaney has been in labor for almost 12 hours and she's only 5 centimeters dilated. She feels like she's gonna die. Her contractions are now 9 minutes apart and she knows she has another 5 centimeters left to go until she can give birth.
"I swear to God, Gi! I'm never carrying another child for you!" she groans, feeling another contraction rip through her as she sits on her hospital bed.
The doctor has come in 10 minutes prior to check on her progress and she still had ways to go.
"I'm sorry you're in so much pain right now sweetheart but it'll be worth it once we have our daughter," he reassures her, kissing her cheek.
"Easy for you to say! You're not the one pushing out a human from your genitals!" she bites back.
"The nurse told me that you should walk around a bit and try to use the medicine ball to help speed up the labor," he informs her.
"Yeah well the nurse can take her advice and shove it up her ass! I'm not moving!" she growls.
"Babe, please do it for me," he pleads, wanting her to follow the nurse;s instruction so that their daughter can be safely delivered without complications.
"Fine! I'll do it if you leave me the fuck alone!" she groans, reaching her hands out.
He helps lift her off the hospital bed and she waddles her way around the room, slowly with the help of Gi. She walks around for almost 2 hours, stopping every once in a while because of contractions. She then moves to the medicine ball for a while, before being interrupted by the doctor.
"Alright Delaney, time to measure your progress," the doctor announces, grabbing some gloves.
Gi helps her back on the hospital bed and helps lift her legs up for the doctor to examine her dilation. The doctor sticks his fingers out to measure her dilation.
"Alright you're at 8 centimeters now, which means we can take you to the delivery room right now," the doctor announces.
They transport her to the delivery room and strap her down to the delivery bed. A nurse attaches an IV to her while another doctor straps a monitor over her belly to monitor her contractions and to check her vitals.
"Alright Delaney, we'll be starting the delivery now," the doctor informs her.
"Would you like an epidural?" a nurse asks, right as a contraction rips through her.
"Yes please!" she practically screams, feeling the contractions get worse.
It take a few tries but they are successfully able to apply the epidural. Delaney immediately feels numbness and the doctors lift up her legs, monitoring the contractions.
