"Oh ugh hi Carmen." I try to smile while walking over.
"Hi" she tries to smile, "So you're seeing Kevin?"
"What?" I take in a sharp breath.
UhM who said that!?
"They let you back there to see Kevin?" She rephrases.
I nod, "Yeah. He asked for me.."
"Well the doctors aren't letting us back! They're saying he doesn't wanna see us!!" She sighs.
"Mom" Bri reasons, "He's 18 turning 19 so I mean technically he's an adult."
"Bri" Her mother growls, "Does that take away from the fact that we're his family and I'm his mom?! No."
"Sorry" I say awkwardly, "I don't know much about that but I gotta head home.. Alex, josh do you need a ride home?"
Josh shakes his head, "I got my car. Don't worry I'll take Alex to his car."
I nod, "Okay.. Bye."
Finally I leave the hospital and head for my apartment. It takes about 15 minutes to get back to my apartment. By the time I get back it's around 6 pm. Right away I walk into the bathroom to shower and change clothes.
When I get out of the shower I make a simple salad and go back to my room to watch tv. As I'm watching the Kissing Booth I suddenly get a text from Kevin.
Kev: Hey :)
Sky: Hey
Kev: wyd?
Sky: Watching tv and eating.. Wassup?
Kev: Thanks for dropping off my phone
Sky: Np
Kev: Where my parents there when you came?
Sky: Yeah they asked why they couldn't see you and I could.
Kev: Do they know I od?
Sky: Idk Alex called them
Kev: I just don't want them to see me like this.. If they know it's gonna change their whole view on me.
Sky: it's ur choice..
Kev: What am I gonna tell them when I leave the hospital?
Sky: I'd go for the truth but idk really.. Breathing problems maybe?
Kev: ig.. I might get out tomorrow or the next day... I just wanna go home💔 btw y is my social media and almost every app locked?!
Sky: Doctor's orders.
Kev: You did it?!
Sky: Maybe....
Kev: Wtf gimme the password so i can go on ig
Sky: no.
Kev: It's my phone!!

Kev: Bruh this isn't funny💀
Sky: You can't go on ig you need rest dumbass!!
Kev: It's not like imma post something!! Besides I'm pretty sure some magazines already know I'm here.
Sky: idc. No social media atm.
Kev: Sky fr gimme the code now.
Sky: Kev fr I'm not finna do it. Get rest and I'll give u the code.
Kev: I am getting rest.
