that was the day.
the day she was coming to my house.i made sure my idiot of a twin brother and the rest of my family were out.
i totally didn't want them to ruin my date with alexis.
not date. should've been, but it wasn't a date.when the doorbell rang, i felt sick to my stomach.
alexis, the girl at the café that i thought i wasn't gonna see ever again,
was coming to my house.the doorbell rang once again, and i was snapped back to reality.
shit, i kept her waiting!i jogged to the door and opened it as quickly as i could.
'hey alexis!'she was wearing a black romper with a belly cutout,
and her hair was down.
the outfit fit her really well and i couldn't stop noticing how beautiful she was.'alexis?'
'hazel. i'm sorry'
my face felt like it was burning.'i'm just kidding. can i come in?'
she asked, containing herself from a smile.
i wondered why.i got out of the way and led her to the living room, sitting on the floor, and placing our things at the coffee table.
she sat down besides me, dangerously close.
'hey''hey' i responded, my voice sounded shaky.
she grabbed the paper the teacher gave us, explaining the project.
'fake marriage project' she snorted
'great project you chose to be partners, huh?'i couldn't be more embarrassed by the situation, but i tried to keep my cool.
'i swear to god i didn't know!'
kinda.'it's okay. i'd love to be your fake wife anyway.'
she smirked.'i'd love to be your fake husband' i smirked back.
i caught on to her game and i started playing it too.'first step to a healthy marriage: love, compassion and trust.
get to know each other and tell everyone about yourselves in our next class.'
