'and after that, he literally left me all alone in the boat'
we both laughed at the funny story she'd told me.
'this was fun, but i have to go. see you tomorrow, ethan'

'where are you going? i can give you a ride.'
her expression subtly changed as i said that, she acted somewhat secretive

'no worries! i'll catch the bus or something.'
she stuttered.
and i wondered why she was nervous.

'okay... whatever you need, give me a call.'
i said as she was gathering her stuff.

'of course. thank you, ethan.'
she lightly hugged me and stood up, heading to the door.

as much as i didn't want to see her go, i had to.
she had something to do, that she hid from me.

i was worried, not gonna lie.
people in our school were always complete assholes,
that's why i only hung out with my twin brother, grayson, and my best friend aaliyah.
we have been friends for literally ever, and i couldn't go a day without them.

throughout the day i wondered if she was okay, who she was with...
don't get me wrong, i wasn't trying to be a psycho.
people were just too mean and she was just too good to be treated the way they treat people around them.

it was 9:15am when she texted me, saying that i was right about people in our school.

of course i told her what hey were like, and the thought of something happening to her made me sick to my stomach.

what happened?
i texted her back, fearing her response.

i saw what they did to this kid, don't worry about it.
and she went offline.

the whole night i wasn't able to sleep, knowing and fearing that something had happened to her and that she was in danger in some kind of way.

liyah, do you know who was with alexis today?
i texted aaliyah. i had to know who was with alexis. it had the mean people at school: the jocks, who think they own everything and everyone, or the popular girls, that side with them even knowing that they're wrong.

no idea, why?
i sighed, and my head couldn't stop spinning.

suddenly, my whole room was spinning.
the wooden floor became a wooden roof above me.
i fell on my bed, messing up the red and white silk sheets.

after taking a deep breath and calming down, i dozed off.
