first day of school.
the day i saw her again.

she was an office assistant, third period
and i used to go to the office very often.

not because i was a bad boy or something,
but because my grades were absolute trash.

'ethan!'
i heard her voice calling my name as i entered the office.

'alexis, hi.' i shyly smiled at her

'i was just wondering why i didn't see you at dott's yesterday'

'i was really tired. not in the mood for coffee. sorry though'
i chuckled awkwardly, not knowing how to continue the conversation,
as much as i wanted it to last.

'i better see you there today'
she winked at me and motioned her hear to the guidance counselor's office.
i hadn't noticed the counselor was standing there.

'see you'
i said the unwanted goodbye, and entered the office.

'mr dolan. welcome back'
my counselor smiled at me. he was a really cool guy.

'thank you, mr. oliver'

'how are your classes going? any trouble concentrating? anything wrong?'
'you know we have to start since the beginning, kiddo.'
'or else things might go the wrong way again.'

the previous year, i had so much trouble passing.
i had a concentrating problem, and it was a mess all over.

school was just so hard for me.
so, so stressful.

'no. not today, mr. oliver. none of my teachers started the subject yet.'

'that's good. they'll take special care of you. they're warned.'

'no!' i accidentally screamed, which made my counselor surprised
'i mean, please don't. it's going to embarrass me in front of everyone.'

'after classes. it's okay, no one will know.'

'thank you, mr. oliver. i appreciate it.'
i sighed. i really didn't appreciate it.
i wanted to be just like the other kids, and not need special attention at school.

after i got out of the counselors office, alexis was on her way out.
i didn't bother talking to her, hence there was nothing to talk about.
she grabbed her bag from the ground and disappeared in the halls.
