My I「Junhao」

HAPPY JUN DAY Y'ALL THIS WAS WRITTEN IN LIKE TWO HOURS

I was woken up by something tickling my nose. I opened my eye a peek and looked to see what it was and saw the tortoiseshell pelt of the fur baby of Minghao and myself. Opening my eyes fully, I saw that Min's tail was flicking and I felt a pressure on my chest.

I turned my head to the side slightly and saw Minghao standing there, one hand covering his mouth as he laughed quietly to himself. I moved my hand and grabbed his free hand, dragging him closer to me. "Morning baby." I muttered, voice husky due to just waking up.

He used his other hand to pick Min up off me, the cat letting out a meow as she was picked up and he held her to his chest as he leaned down and kissed me. "Morning gē." he then kissed our cat on the head and put her down on the floor. I heard soft thumps of her paws hitting the floor as she ran off to somewhere else in the apartment.

"What day is it today?" I asked, trying to remember what day it was. Minghao smiled at me as if he was about to start laughing again and I frowned in confusion. "Hold on... Is it my birthday today?" his eyes practically disappeared as his smile became even bigger which made me realise that I was right.

"Happy birthday babe." he cooed and tugged at my hand that was still holding his own. "Nooo I dont wanna get up yet." I whined and he pouted at me, "Gēge I made pancakes though." I realised that I could actually smell pancakes and smiled to myself because my boyfriend made the best pancakes but only ever made them as a treat.

"Please get up~ I don't want them to go cold." Seeing him pout made me feel bad so I sat up slowly, allowing him to pull me out of bed and to my feet, and then through the apartment to our kitchen, where there were two plates stacked with pancakes that looked to be drowned in maple syrup with a scoop of ice cream on top and fruits and berries around it.

"Oh, Haohao, these look so good." I had to stop myself from drooling at that point because well, I was hungry and those were some good looking pancakes. Minghao giggled at me and let go of my hand so he could go over and pick up the plates, so I then went to the cutlery drawer and got out some cutlery. I waddled out of the kitchen and over to our dining table, yawning as I went.

"Are we doing anything today?" I asked after putting the cutlery out and sitting down and Minghao smiled slightly at me in response. "Only if you want to. It's your birthday so you can do whatever you want to, you know this already gē." I started eating my pancakes, humming in satisfaction because of the taste and in thought because I wasn't sure what I wanted to do yet.

"Can we just binge watch kdramas, eat junk food and cuddle?" I asked and Minghao smiled at my suggestion. "That sounds perfect gē." He responded after swallowing what was in his mouth. I smiled back at him and we continued to eat in silence.

After we finished eating, we put the dishes in the sink and rinsed off the remaining maple syrup so it wouldn't be too sticky by the time we washed the dishes later on. Minghao went into our bedroom and came out with our fluffy blanket and a few pillows and I went to get my laptop from where it was hidden under paperwork.

I mirrored it to the tv once I sat down on the couch and started setting up the show, getting up tabs of kdramas we love to watch on binge days, such as Goblin, Boys Over Flowers, Descendants of the Sun and our guilty pleasure drama, Hwarang, which we only watched for the cute boys.

"Gē, chips or popcorn?" Minghao called out from the pantry. I could hear the bags scrunching as he searched for snacks "Popcorn now, chips later." He grabbed a bag, closed the door and opened the fridge and got something out (probably a bottle of water) and made his way over to me. He put the water bottle to the side along with the popcorn, quickly switched off the lights and ungracefully flopped onto the couch beside me, making me laugh.

I started playing the first episode of Goblin and put the laptop aside before we assumed our natural cuddling position where our bodies seemed to just fit together like two puzzle pieces. Minghao threw the blanket over us and we didn't end up moving for a good few hours, too engrossed in the drama and feeling too comfortable in each other's embrace.

We only ended up pausing the drama to order Chinese take-out but once we received it, we went straight back to the couch and ended up feeding each other, making a slight mess due to our eyes barely straying from the tv.

When we finally went to bed at 3am, I felt content. Tired, but content. An hour later I was shaken awake by Minghao "Gē I forgot to give you your presents!" He looked upset and I just smiled at him. "Haohao, it's okay, I'm not going to die because you forgot to give me my presents. We had a lazy day so it's understandable that you forgot. Plus, we need to sleep. We forgot that we've got training tomorrow."

Minghao cursed under his breath when he realised that and I snickered quietly. "Now come here baby. Let's get some sleep." I opened my arms and Minghao wriggled into my embrace. After a few minutes of us laying there, Minghao's breath evened out as he fell asleep and shortly after, I fell asleep as well, happy with how my birthday had turned out with my favourite person in the whole world.
