|1| First day at Camp Campbell

   I watched the trees pass by moving in and out of my sight. My head swayed to the beat of the music blaring from my car stereo. I drove down the twisting dirt roads towards Camp Campbell. My big brother, David, had taken over the place after the previous owner was arrested. He's always loved the place since he was little but I just don't know what he sees in that place. Unlike David I'm not all happy go lucky and "Look at the bright side!" But I'm not an asshole either. I'm just a quiet and polite girl who can be a bit mean sometimes.

I pulled into the clearing parking my car and getting out. I looked around and saw almost nothing but trees, if I'm being honest it was beautiful. The air was so much cleaner up here! I spotted David talking to a group of people with his back faced toward me. I walked over to them catching a bit of the conversation.
"Okay so you all know the drill, correct?" David asked with his fists on his hips.
"Yes..." The group unenthusiastically answered back. They all looked around my age.
"Alrighty! One last thing, Max, please behave." He spoke to one of them though I didn't know which one. I walked closer and put my hand on David's shoulder. He abruptly turned on his heel visibly surprised but when he saw me David smiled widely.
"Y/N!" He said hugging me tightly.
"David... can't... breathe." I choked out gasping for air.

"Oh my! Sorry Y/N I've just missed you so much."
"It's fine David." I put my hand on his head messing up his red fluffy hair.
"Oh why don't we meet your new teammates!" He said enthusiastically turning to the group again.
"Y/N, meet Nikki, Neil, Ripley, and Max." He pointed at each kid as he listed them off.
"Guys meet, Y/N, my baby sister!" They looked surprised for some reason.
"Wait, wait, wait you have a sister?" Asked the one presumed to be Max.
"Oh yeah! Did I forget to tell you guys?" He laughed.
"David, you numbskull!" I playfully punched his arm.

Max groaned visibly annoyed.
"It was bad enough with one David now we have two!" He rubbed the bridge of his nose.
"Um, do you have a problem with that?" I asked. This kid was being so rude.
"Yeah. What are you gonna do about it?" I glared at him.
"Y/N temper!" David scolded and I glared at him too.
"Sorry David." I sighed backing down. This was not over not yet.
"I want you two to be nice to each other, got it?" David asked.
"You're really putting me in a tough spot, David." I huffed.
"Same here." Max huffed back.
"No fighting!" David said firmly one last time.
"Alright, Y/N, why don't we go over the schedule for tomorrow?"

We walked to the counselors cabin and the five of us sat at a table while David explained the plan tomorrow. I chatted with Nikki and Neil a lot while Max glared at me.
"Alright, so everyone knows what's happening?" David asked. We all nodded in response.
"Oki Doki I'll let you guys get settled in for the rest of the day! You'll all be sharing a cabin since we're tight on money at the moment but you'll find the cabin just next door!" Max groaned as a response. I was just about fed up with his attitude.
"Hey, Y/N, wanna come hang with us?" Asked Ripley motioning towards Nikki, Neil and Max.
"Fuck it." I shrugged and followed Ripley. If I'm being honest with myself Ripley was... hot. Messy raven hair and ocean blue eyes. I looked away as I felt the heat rise to my face.
"So you're David's sister? Like actually?" He asked smirking.
"You still don't get it?" I laughed.

"You guys just have different personalities." He chuckled back and my heart fluttered.
"Trust me, even my mother is surprised."
"Hahaha, so where are you from?"
"Canada. My mother moved us here to get away from our father. I'll let you in on a little secret." I leaned in and whispered in his ear.
"We're here illegally."
"Oooh what a bad girl~" He joked.
"Trust me hot shot you don't even know that half of it." I joked back.

   We entered our shared cabin and I gazed around. It wasn't anything special just three bunk beds an armoire and a small couch.
   "I CALL TOP BUNK!" Nikki yelled. Everyone started unpacking but I had left my bag in my car. I hopped onto the bunk next to the one Nikki had chosen. Neil slept under Nikki and Max slept under me while Ripley slept on the top bunk next to mine. I sat on my bunk just playing around on my phone. Nikki, Neil, and Max sat on the couch chatting with each other. Ripley popped his head up over the wooden railing of the bunk bed.
   "Hey whatcha doing?" He whispered softly. His sweet voice made my heart pound.
   "Nothing really. Come sit with me." I patted the spot in front of me and waited for Ripley to sit down.
   "Wanna exchange numbers?" I was caught off guard and I'm sure my face was tomato red. He probably just wants to be friends. I handed him my phone.
    "So back to our conversation earlier. Where are you from?" I questioned raising an eyebrow.
   "I was born and raised here." Ripley still looked at my phone screen entering his contact info. He turned around and and smiled widely.
   "Say cheese!" He said before snapping a photo of us. He handed me back my phone and I looked over his contact which he entered as 'Hotty 💦'.
   "Really? You're such a dork." We shared a laugh together and started texting each other even though we were next to each other. I ended up with my head in his lap without even realizing it.

—Max P.O.V. —
   I looked over at Ripley only to see Y/N's head in his lap and his hand around her waist.
   "Since when are they so chummy?" I asked turning to Nikki and Neil.
   "I don't know but I've never seen Ripley so touchy with another girl." Neil answered observing the pair with curious eyes.
   "Do you guys think they'll fall in love?" Nikki asked hopefully.
   "Probably. Ripley was telling me how hot he thought Y/N was during David's explaining." I thought back to the moment.
   "She's so god damn sexy." Ripley explained biting his lip while looking at her chest. I watched Y/N as my eyes unknowingly wandered to her breasts. I caught myself and looked away as my face was surely scarlet.
   "I think they'll be happy together." Nikki swooned. It bothered me though. Seeing them together. I pushed it off and continued watching them as they smiled at their phone screens.
