Chapter 5: Mingyu's House

Mingyu POV

I saw the scene that Minhye gave a medicine to Seungcheol. My head draws up a question mark on my mind, their actions towards each other is certainly confusing.

"So who's house are we going to do the project?" I asked her after she took a seat

Minhye POV

I don't want to make the project to our house because we don't have enough stuffs.

"Is it okay if your house?" I asked him while arranging my books inside my bag

"Sure see you on Saturday" he replied and he asked for my number for communication although we are only neighbors

Saturday

I woke up, prepared myself and get my textbooks in Algebra then I directly went to Mingyu's house. I pressed the doorbell twice then a maid came up.

"Who are you?" she asked me while holding a broom

"I am Mingyu's classmate and we are going to do the project today"

While I am talking to the maid, I saw Mingyu in the swimming pool.

He runs towards me and greeted me, I just looked down into the ground while talking to him.

"Did you wait too long?"

"No, I just arrived a while ago" I answered him while my eyes are glued to the ground

"Why can't you look at me?" he asked me with a confusing look

"Uh—uhm"

"Yah pabo! What can you expect? She is a girl and you're not wearing anything on your top! That's why!" I heard a voice who is scolding him

"Oh I get it thanks Wonwoo hyung! I'm going to change now please escort her to the sala"

The guy named Wonwoo lead me the way to the sala. And man! Their house is spacious and luxurious more than I expected.

"So you're Mingyu's partner?" Wonwoo asked me

"Yup his project partner" I answered

"Btw I am his old school friend let me tell you that Mingyu is good at rapping" he whispered to me

Then after a couple of minutes, Mingyu came up, his hair is wet, thankfully he already changed his clothes. Wonwoo leaves the two of us and we started conceptualizing for the solutions for the algebraic solutions.

There is a hidden message after you solved the problems, like a puzzle one.

Mingyu POV

I really hate Math, I prefer English more than it. The question that was assigned to us was:

"In order to survive you need to_______________."

Minhye pour all her knowledge on solving the problems. She is thinking for the solutions while her hand is resting on her chin and the other is writing.

If x is equals to 3 then 12 times 3 raised to 2 is equals to 1296 diminished by 500 is not equal to 726.

She keeps on whispering while holding a pen and writing the solutions on a scratch paper. I can't clearly saw her face anymore because she is deeply looking down on the paper, her hair is covering her face.

I slowly wiped her hair into her ear with my ballpen which makes me to see her face.

She suddenly stopped writing and looked at me, our eyes met but she just looked away and continued to solve the problem.

"I'll help you, which number are you now?" I offered her some help

"Number 12"

She handed me the question and I tried to solve it to the best way that I can. To the point that I almost fell asleep while thinking. I didn't notice that I took a short nap.

Minhye POV

I didn't bother him to ask for help because I find it awkward, so I just wait until he volunteered.

"I'll help you, which number are you now?" he took my paper and offered some help

"Number 12" I said

After a few minutes, he fell asleep, his head is leaning on the table. I leaned my head near to him and glance at his face, the distance are just inches away. How can someone become good looking while sleeping?

Mingyu POV

I didn't notice that I fell asleep, as I opened my eyes I saw Minhye leaning on the table while looking at me, our distance are just inches away, is she staring at me?

"How was the project?" I asked while I turn my head on

"Ohh it's quite done" she said

Both of us pour our knowledge on solving and finally we are able to answer the hidden message and it was:

In order to survive you need to Stay Strong.

Minhye POV

Is the problem teasing me? Lol Stay strong? What's that!

As I walked alongside the streets, I suddenly saw Seungcheol who is on his way to their bookstore.

"Minhye" he called me but I just pretend that I didn't hear anything

"Park Minhye-yah wait" he managed to say

"What do you want?" I said in a monotonous tone

"I--, I still love you"

"Then why did we break up? Why can't you tell me the reason!" I said irritably hoping for his explanations

"It's all because—"

"Because of what?"

"I can't tell you"

"See? You don't trust me! It is really right for us to break up. I don't understand you Mr. Choi Seungcheol!" I turned around and prepares to walk away

"But—wait"

"What? Your mind changes?"

He just shook his head showing a gloomy face while looking at the ground.

Seungcheol POV

She is my first love but it's so sickening that the person who means a lot to me is the same person who hates me the most.

Only Jeonghan knows the reason behind my hidden story, I trusted him the most and he agreed that he won't tell it to anyone especially Minhye.
